LANCASTER SIGNS K100 & BAUER RACING AS TITLE SPONSOR OF JUNIOR DRAGSTER RACING SERIES & DRAGWAY GRAND CHAMPION

NEW GRAND CHAMPION PROGRAM TO CROWN TOP OVERALL DRAG RACER

Lancaster, NY – Lancaster National Speedway & Dragway has expanded their marketing partnership with K100-50TH-Anniversary-LogoK100 Fuel Treatment of Youngstown, NY and Bauer Racing for the 2015 drag racing season.

K100 and Bauer Racing have agreed in principle to become the title sponsor of Lancaster’s Junior Drag Racing Series. The Junior Dragster program gives children ages 7-18 the chance to learn how to drag race in a safe and competitive environment in specially prepared race cars designed for them. Lancaster has been running the class for over 20 years as part of if its Tuesday night “Test n’ Tune” program.

Bob Bauer, Jr. of Bauer Racing has been a huge supporter of Lancaster’s Junior Drag Racing program in the past. Bauer, along with K100 Fuel Treatment’s Eric Fragale, have made Lancaster one of the only tracks to actually reward the junior racers with a cash bonus.

“My son, Robert Bauer, was a two time Junior Dragster track champion, and has moved on to a full sized ride, but my family has continued to support the series,” said Bauer, “and thanks to Eric Fragale and K100 we will continue to do so in 2015.”

“The Junior Dragster program has been the starting point for our next generation of racers,” said Lancaster National Dragway Program and Race Director, Sharon Hughes, “and being one of the only tracks to offer something extra to our junior competitors is really something.”

In addition to their support of the Junior Dragsters, K100 and Bauer Racing will also be the presenting sponsor of the brand new Lancaster National Dragway Grand Champion program. Drag racers that join the weekly Friday night IHRA Drag Racing points program will have a chance to become the 2015 K100/Bauer Racing Lancaster National Dragway Grand Champion. The track champion in each class will compete for the prestigious title and a prize package of up to $5,000 in cash and prizes.

“The addition of the Grand Champion title gives our racers a chance at winning one of the largest championship purses in our region,” said Lancaster National Speedway & Dragway General Manager Melissa McGowan, “it will provide an extra level of excitement for this season.”
