LANCASTER NATIONAL DRAGWAY SET TO CLOSE OUT 2015 SEASON ON SATURDAY WITH PRO MOD-A-PALOOZA & CHAMPIONSHIP RUN OFFS

LANCASTER, NY – Lancaster National Dragway will cap off a remarkable 2015 season this Saturday (October 10) LNDProModapaloozawith one of its biggest drag racing events of the season, Pro Mod-a-Palooza and the Season Championship Run-Offs.

The track champions for our four weekly Franco’s Pizza IHRA Drag Racing classed plus Uncle Bob’s Self Storage Quick 16 will be crowned with our final points race of the season. The class champions will then go head-to-head to decide who will become the inaugural K100/Bauer Racing Lancaster National Dragway Grand Champion. The winner of this ultimate contest will take home a package of $5,000 in cash and prizes.

The points titles in four of the five classes are still up for grabs. Three-time Uncle Bob’s Self Storage Quick 16 winner Steve Ferstl holds a 30-point advantage over Mike Nowak heading into Saturday. There’s a tie in McGard Top ET between Mike Sobczynski and the team of Jan Winkowski & Tom Wieczorek. Clay Ricketson and Dale Eckert have combined for five wins in Mod ET this year and hold a 50-point lead over teammates Jeff Kerl and Mason Fix. In Street ET, Cody Winkowski has a 30-point lead over the team of Nick Morissey and Mason Fix.

The only track championship that has already been decided is in Hebeler’s Sales Bikes & Sleds as Lucas Salemi has locked up the title.

The Pro Mod-a-Palooza portion of Saturday’s event will feature a showdown between some of the top Pro Modified teams in the Northeast. A field of over 20 cars is expected to do battle for the right to make the eight-car field that will race for the $5,000 top prize.

Joining this phenomenal show are the Buffalo Street Outlaws. These barely street legal machines will run heads up for their final appearance of 2015.

Pit gates open at 9 AM on Sunday with time trials beginning at 11 AM. Eliminations are scheduled to start at approximately 2 PM. All Access adult passes are just $20, Student (age 12-17) passes are $10 and kids under 12 are free. For more information log on to www.promodapalooza.com.
