JAKE AND TEAM READY FOR IHRA SUMMIT RACING EQUIPMENT WORLD FINALS
ST LOUIS, MO – Jake and the AllStar Dodge Challenger are set to take on the competition at the Summit Racing Equipment World and Nitro
Jam Finals, Friday and Saturday, October 11 and 12 at the Memphis International Raceway, Memphis, Tennessee. Our last race in Pittsburgh did not turn out as planned but did provide valuable data and opportunity for lessons learned. There was plenty to think about but more importantly there’s plenty to forget about and set sights on this next race.
The World and Nitro Jam Finals will provide the perfect stage for our redemption. At minimum, a 12 car field is anticipated and with the points championship decided in the AMSOIL Nitro Funny Car class there’s a big reason we should aim for the winner’s circle in this last race of the 2014 season. Braggin’ rights and the chance to remind everyone what we are capable of! We’ll go back through our notes from last year’s event, add to that this year’s experience and set the car up to finish strong and win rounds.
“I believe every team there will have similar goals….to make Memphis memorable, competitively exciting for the fans and to hoist the Iron Man in winner’s circle. That means all will be on their mark and with good weather and solid track conditions its possible to see track records fall. Sure we’ll be trying a few new things in that forever pursuit of more speed and quicker ETs as most everyone will.”
Recently announced by the IHRA, the 2014 race season will be revisited through a series of 13 television broadcasts on MAVTV. The premier is on 6 November and will be hosted by six-time IHRA Top Fuel World Champion Clay Millican and rising Nashville star Carissa Biele. Fans will get up-close-and-personal with the stars of the IHRA’s professional drag racing series and witness all of the drama that is associated with championship motorsports.
Finally a change is in order for the 2015 season. Our long term relationship with our major sponsor Rug Doctor has come to an end. We’d like to sincerely thank them for the past 4 season’s support. “Rug Doctor has been an important factor in my success as a professional driver and this team. Sponsors like Rug Doctor are critical to our ability to participate in this sport and I will be forever grateful to them for their past support. We are proud to have had them as part of our business team and wish them well.”
