INAUGURAL VISIT FOR NHRA LUCAS OIL DRAG RACING SERIES AT GALOT MOTORSPORTS PARK

BENSON, NC – GALOT Motorsports Park will host the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Southeast Division for the first time on June 3-5. The event is one of 45 scheduled across the country where drivers earn points leading to divisional and national championships as well as a chance at a share of the year-end purse of more than $519,000. Categories include Comp Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street. The division’s Davis Golf Carts Top Sportsman Series and Hickory Enclosed Trailer Sales Top Dragster Series will also be run in conjunction with the event.

Qualifying and time trials at GALOT Motorsports Park are at 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Top Dragster, Comp Eliminator and Top Sportsman qualify Friday at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 and 5 p.m. Eliminations begin on Saturday with round 1 of Top Dragster, Comp Eliminator and Top Sportsman at 7 p.m. Eliminations continue Sunday at 9 a.m. Round 2 of eliminations for Top Dragster, Comp Eliminator and Top Sportsman begin at 11 a.m. Additionally, there will be a bonus Gamblers race and Stock/Super Stock Combo race on both Friday and Saturday nights.
