IHRA SUMMIT SUPERSERIES TEAM FINALS NEXT 4 WEEKENDS!

HOLLY SPRINGS, MS — The schedule for the IHRA Division 2 (Heat Wave) Summit Team Finals at Holly Springs Motorsports has been revised due to impending weather.

The track will be closed for on-track action Thursday, but racers can park on property from noon to 8 p.m. as Tropical Storm Francine is expected to pass through Mississippi. The Friday schedule will depend on the impact from the storm, which is expected to be upgraded to a hurricane before it hits land.

If the track is suitable for a noon start, then gates will open Friday at 8 a.m. with registration to begin at 9 a.m. A test session with a $40 entry fee will run from noon to 5 p.m. Gamblers races will start at 5:30 p.m.

Another option depends on the start being delayed until 4 p.m. In that case, gates would still open at 8 a.m and registration at 9 a.m. However, on-track action would then be limited to a test session from 4-10 p.m.

The main event is scheduled for Saturday with gates opening at 8 a.m. and a chapel service provided. The Best Awards are presented at 8:30 p.m. and team photos are scheduled for 9 a.m. The team captain / track operators race is 10 a.m. followed by a “Run for the Money” at 10:30 a.m.

Eliminations for Top ET (Box), Mod (No Box), Sportsman, Motorcycles, TCR and Junior Dragsters will begin at 12:30 p.m. Racing will move to Sunday if necessary.
