Valdosta, Ga —  Kris and Kevin Hool have been racing with each other for more than a quarter of a century.  The 2011 Racing Season has started off for them better than they could have ever imagined.

While many of their family and friends are still knee deep with snow in their home town of Casper, Wyoming, the brothers are chasing one of their most aggressive racing seasons yet.

The Gripper Hand Cleaner / Kool Race Shops sponsored alcohol funny car, piloted by Kris Hool, not only won their first event earlier in the year at the Southeast Division 2 Lucas Oil Series Event opener in Bradenton, Florida, they did it running a career best elapse time of 5.600 at just over 258 miles per hour.

The following weekend, the team stayed in Florida for the second Division 2 race in Gainesville, Florida.

“The track was pretty green in Gainsville” noted Kevin Hool, “all of the teams ran well, but Kris was skating around and lifted in the semi finals, which due to car count was also the first round.  We are looking at a very aggressive season this year, so it was a decision I supported him on 100%.

“We’ve spent the last 2 weeks in Valdosta, the weather is supposed to be good, competition will be good, and we’re going to stay with the tune up that we’ve developed.  Hopefully, we will end the weekend with another win for our lengthy road trip.”
