FORCE SCORES AGAIN FOR LUCKY RACE FAN

NORWALK, OH – John Force and his Castrol GTX Ford Mustang team brought a well-deserved No. 1 qualifier award to the John Force Racing stable for the second weekend in a row. As a result of the team’s success, John Force Racing was able to put a front-loading washer and dryer set in the hands of lucky fan Donna Batton of Morgantown, West Virginia at the 7th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, compliments of BrandSource and the “Win with Force” promotion.

“I signed up because my husband was talking so I was just wandering around and decided I would sign up,” said Batton. “I just feel very lucky to win this prize because I’ve never won anything else in my life. This is our first time to Summit Motorsports Park and we will be back.”

Force raced his Castrol GTX Ford Mustang to a track record, a 4.021 ET at 317.72 mph, on Friday evening during the second round of qualifying. His time held strong throughout two sessions on Saturday and put him at the top of the pack going into race day.

“We are just out there trying to do everything we can so we can go from A to B. It was warm yesterday too when we ran that 4.13 seconds in the heat. When it cooled down we stepped up and ran that 4.02 which was the track record. The track was good. You fight the elements like the heat today. We wanted to see how far we could push it today. We know we will pull her back in the first round and we will. We have a race here to win,” said John Force.

At each NHRA national event when a JFR team qualifies No. 1 a lucky fan that has signed up at the JFR “Win with Force” display located in Nitro Alley will be eligible to win the BrandSource No. 1 Qualifier Award, a front loading washer and dryer set.  If a JFR driver wins the event a different fan will win the 55” flat screen TV Winner’s Circle Award from BrandSource.  At the end of the season a grand prize winner of the “Win with Force” Sweepstakes will be awarded a 2013 Castrol Edge Ford Mustang GT premium edition.

Fans can sign up to win at the John Force Racing interactive midway display. This 53-foot trailer will be in the Nitro Alley area of every NHRA Mello Yello Series national event in 2013. The “Win with Force” promotion now includes JFR team partners Castrol, BrandSource, Ford, and Mac Tools, all joining together to create an incredible promotion for the fans. Last year, John Force Racing won ten races and was No. 1 qualifier seven times. So far in 2013, JFR has had three wins and five No. 1 qualifiers.
