BRAMPTON, ON – The popular Canadian Sportsman Drag Racing Series will return to operate in its 4th Championship season in 2015 running a Twelve Race, Six weekend tour that will see the series making stops at both Toronto Motorsports Park and St Thomas Raceway Park this summer.
The 2015 Season will kick off with the first three event weekends taking place at Toronto Motorsports Park with the 4th annual DSE Season Opener on June 6th & 7th, followed by the Inaugural Southern Ontario Nationals June 20th & 21st, and the 4th Annual Summer Nationals July 25th & 26th. August will see the series shift to historic St Thomas Raceway Park for the 3rd Annual Sportsman Nationals August 15th & 16th before returning to Toronto Motorsports Park for the final two event weekends with the 5th Annual Labour Day Championships on September 5th & 6th and the 4th Annual DSE Championship Finals September 19th and 20th.
Series Director Andrew Stirk is excited to have the dates set but says the schedule work is not complete yet. “With our Event dates now in place we are pushing hard to finalize other aspects of our schedule such as the selecting which DSE Events will host specialty races such as the NHRA King of the Track , NHRA National Dragster Challenge, Jr Drag Racing League Challenge, Mike Marshall Memorial Shoot-Out and our feature specialty event the Abruzzi Transmission DSE All-Star Race. We hope to have all the announcements for those dates announced soon.”
DSE Series Competitors and fans can look forward to seeing the return of all their favourite Championship classes in 2015, as well as the addition of a new Beginner Street Legal Bike Class that will be similar to the existing Street Car Eliminator category, which has helped introduce many new competitors to Drag Racing in a safe and fun environment.
“We are excited to announce more info in the coming weeks about this new Entry level Bike class. We will also have more info regarding other small rules and payout changes coming to our other classes for the 2015 season, but with our schedule now out racers can begin their planning and we look forward to seeing all the new and returning teams in June at the first event!”.
