“After such a long and cold winter we really wanted to get people excited about the up-coming race season, so we figured the best way to do it was get everyone thinking and talking about what they will be racing for this summer!” stated series director Andrew Stirk. He would add “We are still working on adding more prizes and sponsors, so it’s possible we could see the year end fund above $20,000 before the first event in June!”

Also utilizing the Motorama Custom Car and Motorsports expo this weekend to unveil big news for the 2015 season will be Chuck and Sandra Beal debuting their new car for the upcoming season. After spending several years racing a Harley-Davidson Destroyer, the Sandra Carter-Beal Race team will return to their door-car roots campaigning a 1963 Corvette built by S&W Race cars. The vette will be powered by a 700 cubic inch Chevy engine built by Mike Janis, with the horsepower being transferred to the wheels by a Joe’s Transmission prepared Powerglide. The team plans to chase the DSE Sportsman Series Quick 16 Championship as well as compete at numerous other Top Sportsman races as well select OSCA events.

Racers interested in joining the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series will be able to sign up at the Motorama Car Show March 13-15 at the DSE Sportsman Series booth, or racers can download the Points form off the Sportsman series website and mail the form as well as payment to the Sportsman Series Head Office.
