Drag Racing Odyssey Continues for Todd Robertson’s Eaton Backed TA/FC Team

Harrison TWP, MI – The last three weeks have been a blur for Top Alcohol Funny Car Racer Todd Robertson and his Eaton backed TA/Flopper. This weekend will mark three races in a row, one divisional and two nationals.  With only one day home in the last 22 days Robertson is looking to the 7th annual Summit Racing equipment NHRA Nationals for some form of a payoff.

“It’s been a tough few weeks and we’ve learned a lot of what NOT to do and hurt some pretty expensive parts along the way but, thanks to some great people our team is associated with like Darren Mayer of DMPE, based in Stevesville, Michigan and Steve Sanchez of Total Flow Cylinder Heads, based in Troy Michigan” says Robertson.

“Two weeks in a row Darren and Steve have come to our aide,” said crew chief, Dennis Kolomyjec. “Steve actually picked up a set of our wounded heads at the Chicago race and by the time we passed through Troy Michigan he already had them repaired. You can’t ask for better customer service. DMPE is the same. Darren went out of his way to repair a block for us. His shop is growing all the time and his machining capabilities are NOT limited to his production work. He did a great job on our block and also makes some unique one off parts. We can’t thank both Darren and Steve enough. We couldn’t have made it through these last three races without them”.

Eaton is a diversified power management company providing energy-efficient solutions that help customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power. A global technology leader, Eaton acquired Cooper Industries plc in November 2012. The 2012 revenue of the combined companies was $21.8 billion on a pro forma basis. Eaton has approximately 103,000 employees and sells products to customers in more than 175 countries.

Robertson and his Eaton corporation backed Pro Power Top Alcohol Funny Car team will compete in the 7th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals event at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio this weekend, July 4-7.
