Deadline to Get In Top 10 Looms

Racers have two chances to claim their spot this weekend

MILLINGTON, TN – There are just a few more chances for racers to lay their claim on the King of the Track title at MEMPHISsmMemphis International Raceway during the Sept. 25 edition of Midnight Madness by getting on the Memphis Top 10 during Test N Tune and Street Warz.

Racers who compete in the challenge and rank in the top-10 will receive a one-time free entry in the R.T. Turbines DOT Street class during the Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams.

Time is running out for Memphis’ best racers to claim their spot in the MIR Top Ten. This weekend offers two chances with Test N Tune on Thursday and Street Warz on Friday.

In addition, the top-three from Test N Tune, Midnight Madness and Street Warz will receive plaques and passes to the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment World Finals featuring the Nitro Jam Nationals.

The top-10 from Test N Tune, Midnight Madness and Street Warz will compete against each other in a final showdown on Friday, September 25 during Midnight Madness.

The overall winner of the MIR Top-10 Challenge will be named “King of the Track” and walk away with $500 in prize money; the remaining nine will receive $50 each.

But time is running out to cash in on the opportunity. This Friday night marks the last opportunity to get on the Street Warz list. There are currently six open spots on the Test N Tune list, so starting this Thursday, drivers can head to Test N Tune and claim their spot on the list.

Last week, the Midnight Madness list was set with Danny Obermark recording the best ET of that event. Craig Folwer is the current leader at Street Warz and Billy Bennett is the Test N Tune leader.

Gates for Thursday’s Test N Tune open at 5:30 p.m. and the track will be live from 6-10 p.m. Friday night gates open at 8:30 p.m. with the track live from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. For both nights admission is $20 to race, $10 to watch and children 12-under are free.
