WELD partners with Nitro teams in 2022 NHRA Camping World drag racing series

Kansas City, MO – To mark 55 years of drag racing participation, WELD is sponsoring a number of Top Fuel and Funny Car teams participating in the 2022 NHRA season.

As the fastest wheel brand on the planet, WELD will continue to support Stringer Performance and driver Clay Millican in Top Fuel. It also returns with John Force Racing across four classes of the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series. The cars will be driven by familiar faces including John Force, Brittany Force and Robert Hight, with the addition of 2019 Auto Club Road the Future Award winner, Austin Prock.

WELD Racing has formed partnerships with Leah Pruett and Matt Hagan in the newly formed Tony Stewart Nitro Racing; three-time NHRA Champion Antron Brown and his first-year team AB Motorsports; and defending Funny Car champion Ron Capps and his new Ron Capps Motorsports team.

WELD Announces Contingency Program For 2022 NHRA Competitors

Kansas City, MO – To continue its half-century commitment to the sport, WELD today announced its 2022 National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) contingency program. It will be made available to qualifying NHRA drivers competing in the upcoming season to reward success and give back to the drivers, who are the lifeblood of modern drag racing.

Competitors who qualify by using contingency-specific categories of WELD Racing wheels and also display the WELD decals on their race cars during the season are eligible for the contingency payout. Full contingency details are available here: NHRARacer.com.

WELD EXPANDS RT-S LINEUP WITH THREE NEW WHEEL DESIGNS

Forged Street Wheels Provide On-Track High-Performance Durability Combined With Aggressive Design

Kansas City, MO – WELD today announces the debut of three RT-S options, which feature the most intricate designs ever offered by the 50-year-old high-performance wheel manufacturer.

The first new designs in the RT-S lineup in five years, the S80, S81 and S82 offer both beadlock and non-beadlock options. Each incorporates 3D surface milling to create intricate details in the spoke structure and multi-axis design, providing another dimension layer in each spoke element.

Utilizing finite element analysis to optimize maximum weight savings, the Weld design team developed three distinct wheels that incorporate three-piece forgings for application flexibility, which are assembled by welding. In addition to the large array of widths and offsets, three mounting pad height options fit various brake package while maximizing the depth of the outer wheel lip.
