Keith Haney ready to double up at Throw Down with Notorious and Enigma
TULSA, OK – Keith Haney has a pair of reasons why he’s excited for the Throw Down in T-Town this weekend at
Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park: Notorious and Enigma and to top it all off this is the first time BOTH cars have been at the same event.
“Notorious” is the Lucas Oil/RacingJunk.com Pro Nitrous Chevrolet Camaro that Haney will race in the Mid-West Pro Mod Series portion of the Throw Down, while “Enigma” is entered in the Radial vs. The World Class at Tulsa.
Whether Haney will drive both Keith Haney Racing cars himself remains to be seen. Fans need to come to the Throw Down to find out.
“Notorious hasn’t raced all year long,” Haney said. “Enigma has raced in two races, and now we’re bringing both Notorious and Enigma to Tulsa – and we’re going to kick everybody’s asses in Radial vs. The World and the new Mid-West Pro Mod Series.
Tulsa Raceway Park stands out with successful Throw Down in T-Town
TULSA, OK – Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park hosted one of the most successful races in its history when the track
held the Osage Casino Throw Down in T-Town last weekend.
A large contingent of race cars across several classes populated the track, and a huge crowd was in attendance.
“This ended up being our biggest Throw Down race in the history of the race track in car count,” said Keith Haney, who co-owns the track with Todd Martin. “We had 178 race cars, not counting the 13 cars that broke. It was a huge, success.”
Drag Illustrated magazine came to cover the event, which featured 18 Pro Extreme cars and 19 Pro Boost/Pro Nitrous cars.
Semi-annual Throw Down in T-Town has become a go-to event in drag racing
TULSA, OK – The twice-annual Osage Casino Throw Down in T-Town has become one of the top events in drag
racing, as local racers and track operators Keith Haney and Todd Martin have worked to build the race to serve the fans and competitors alike.
The Throw Down in T-Town returns this weekend at Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park, with more than 150 race cars expected to compete across several classes. Haney and Martin have put more than $84,000 up for grabs.
“We’re excited about the Osage Casino Throw-Down in T Town,” Haney said. “This will be our 16th Throw Down, and it’s getting bigger and bigger every time.
Tulsa Raceway Park to host Redemption No Prep race after Thanksgiving
TULSA, OK – The Redemption No Prep series, born and raised in Texas, is going on the road. Osage Casino Tulsa
Raceway Park will host a No Prep race the weekend after Thanksgiving, Nov. 25-26, the track announced Thursday.
The Redemption No Prep series is a grassroots organization led by Shannon Morgan, designed to give everyday racers a chance to show their stuff in an affordable, professional setting.
“This particular type of racing is what it’s all about,” track co-owner Keith Haney said. “For me, this is for the people who may not be able to compete on the pro level, but they can come and compete on the No Prep level.”
Shirley Muldowney named Grand Marshal of Jr. Drag Racing Western Conference Finals
TULSA, OK – Drag racing legend Shirley “Cha Cha” Muldowney has been named Grand Marshal of the 2016 NHRA
Jr. Drag Racing Western Conference Finals, which will be held June 23-25 at Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park. Track owners Todd Martin and Keith Haney invited the barrier-breaking, four-time world champion to add a hefty dose of drag racing royalty to their first major Jr. Drag Racing event.
“Shirley Muldowney is the perfect ambassador for our first Western Conference Finals,” Martin said. “Everyone in our sport knows and respects the battles she endured as a woman coming into a male-dominated world and fighting for the incredible successes she had in her driving career. She literally kicked in the door for female drivers.
Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park ups the ante for NHRA teams
TULSA, OK – Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park is renowned as one of the best dragstrips in the United States, and now owners
Keith Haney and Todd Martin have upped the ante.
They have invested in additional preparation and safety equipment, hoping to build upon the facility’s reputation as one of the top tracks in the country. Already a top testing venue, Haney and Martin want to attract NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car teams for 2014 and beyond.
“Our track is the best in the country, and it has proven that for the last three years against the best of the best,” Haney said.
Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park to host three X275 races in 2014
TULSA, OK – Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park will enhance its reputation as one of the top dragstrips in the United States by
hosting three X275 events in 2014 as part of the Radial Revenge Tour. The first X275 race will be held April 25-26, paying $5,000 to win.
“For the first time in the state of Oklahoma, the heavy hitters in the X275 Drag Radial world will be coming to the Midwest for the chance at winning the largest purse ever offered in the state of Oklahoma, or the upper Midwest,” track co-owner Todd Martin said.
