Joliet, IL — The complete Route 66 Raceway event schedule was released today ensuring yet another complete
season of exhilarating, super-charged racing. Renowned events such as Test & Tunes presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts, Rockett Brand Racing Fuel ET Bracket Races, the Hollywood Casino Joliet Snocross National Presented by Hayes Brake, Import Face-Off, the Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing Burndown at Sundown!, NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing and the D’Arcy Buick GMC Route 66 Classic join the Route 66 NHRA Nationals to form the complete 2016 lineup.

NHRA FUNNY CAR DRIVER COURTNEY FORCE VISITS CHICAGO AHEAD OF THE O’REILLY AUTO PARTS ROUTE 66 NHRA NATIONALS
Joliet, IL – On Thursday, NHRA Funny Car driver Courtney Force visited Castaways Bar & Grill on North Avenue Beach in Chicago
for a summer beach party in anticipation of the O’Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by Super Start Batteries at Route 66 Raceway, June 26-29.
Force joined fans, along with NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Chase Elliott, for a question-and-answer session on Castaways’ upper deck. Following the Q-&-A, the pair hit North Avenue Beach for a game of sand volleyball with 103.5 KISS FM morning show personalities, Fred & Angi. It was Force and Angi, as well as two NHRA fans that ultimately won the game. Their team effort was just enough to hold off Elliott and KISS FM’s Fred, in a 15-12 victory.

Joliet, IL — Route 66 Raceway today announced its 2014 Test & Tune theme schedule, 10 Friday nights worth of entertainment
and excitement for expert and casual racers alike. The first Test & Tune of the 2014 season is Saturday, April 12.
A Test & Tune is your opportunity to safely see how fast you can race down the drag strip. Whether you’re a first-time driver in your street legal vehicle or a seasoned veteran getting your dragster dialed-in for serious competition, a Test & Tune is fun for racers of all experience levels.

Joliet, IL – Students from Joliet Central High School today presented social media plans for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Route 66
Nationals at Route 66 Raceway, the latest chapter in an annual curriculum partnership between the school and the race track.
Since January, students have spent classroom hours creating marketing agencies, researching demographic information, familiarizing themselves with drag racing, choosing various platforms and formulating a social media plan with the help of bi-weekly classroom visits from Route 66 employees.

Joliet, IL — Route 66 Raceway today announced its 2014 Rockett Brand Racing Fuel ET Bracket Series and Test & Tune
schedule, complete with 25 opportunities to take your street legal car down the same drag strip as legends like John Force, Frank Manzo and Tony Schumacher.
Test & Tunes begin on April 12 and the first of nine ET Bracket Races get underway on April 27, providing local competitors with over two dozen opportunities to enter the Stadium of Drag Racing. Part of this season’s Test & Tune lineup will feature Friday Nights at 66, a “fun run” format open to all racers. If you’re new to racing, Route 66 Raceway’s trained staff will guide you through the process to safely race your car on the drag strip. Each of the Friday Nights at 66 events will also feature a host car club in the designated Cruise-in Car Corral, a non-competitive place to show your vehicle, watch the races and take in the sights and sounds with other car enthusiasts.

weekend, returns to Route 66 Raceway on Saturday, June 7, for a night of fire-breathing jet cars and high-speed action.
In its fourth year, the Burndown at Sundown! and Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series offer a wide array of racing over three days with the show ramping up on Saturday with some of the fastest and most powerful cars Route 66 Raceway has to offer. In addition to every ticket being a pit pass, there will also be a driver autograph session on Saturday night to give fans complete access to the Burndown at Sundown!

Joliet, IL – Route 66 Raceway today announced that the first true Stadium of Drag Racing, for the 17th consecutive year, will host the
NHRA Mello Yellow Drag Racing Series during the 2014 season. The four days of racing will take place June 26-29.
The NHRA Nationals will feature not one, but two nights of thrilling nitro qualifying before wrapping up with Championship Sunday. The prestigious Championship Sunday features an all-access experience for fans including a track walk, driver introductions and a Winner’s Circle celebration.

ROUTE 66 RACEWAY AND JOLIET TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS UNVEIL BANNERS BENEFITING JOLIET AREA COMMUNITY HOSPICE
Joliet, IL – On Monday, Route 66 Raceway and Joliet Township High School unveiled the result of a seven-month long partnership
designed to provide students with hands-on business experience while also benefiting Joliet Area Community Hospice. This partnership, labeled The Route 66 Raceway 15th Anniversary Banner Project, engaged students in design, marketing and sales resulting in a total of eight banners being sold. Students from both Joliet Central and Joliet West designed banners and were on hand for their debut Monday afternoon at the drag strip.
All totaled, the partnership raised $10,000 for the hospice, which has served Joliet since 1982. The125 students from Joliet West and Joliet Central that participated in the project voted to select the hospice as their charity of choice after learning about its mission and the service it provides the community.

Joliet, IL – For the first time ever, indoor seating options are now available for the Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning Burndown
at Sundown!, with the first 60 purchasers receiving a sneak peak of Club 66.
Club 66 is Route 66 Raceway’s newest premium club viewing area, which will launch in its entirety at the upcoming O’Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals Presented by SuperStart Batteries, June 27-30. Race fans will now have the opportunity to escape the heat in an air-conditioned indoor suite with a view straight down the drag strip on Saturday, June 8, as part of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Weekend.
For $50, fans will receive an indoor seat plus a grandstand ticket, providing an indoor-outdoor option to come and go as they please and observe the drag strip from different areas. The first 60 fans to purchase indoor seating will receive seats in the new Club 66, a motorsports themed lounged with a prime view of the drag strip. Any fan who has already purchased a ticket can upgrade to indoor seating by paying $30. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
