Charlotte, NC – In only his second full season on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series tour, Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Adam Protect The HarvestArana sits poised for success this weekend at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals.

The ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell team may have had a slight break in action, but the youngest member of the Arana Racing family is more than ready to not only hit the track again but to try take home a win after waiting a month since the first Pro Stock Motorcycle race of the 2014 season.

“It feels so good to know that I will be back on my bike this weekend,” Arana said. “The off-season was long for me and my family because we didn’t test at all, but this past month since we raced in Gainesville (Fla.) seemed even longer. I’m ready to get back out on the track, continue to dial my bike in, and hopefully get my first win.

ProtectTheHarvest.com driver Brogdon comes up short in first round

LAS VEGAS, NV – In a city known for big-time winners, ProtectTheHarvest.com Pro Stock driver Rodger Brogdon wasn’t lucky Roger Brogden - Las vegasenough to hit the jackpot during the SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

No. 15 qualifier Brogdon was pitted against No. 2 qualifier Chris McGaha in the delayed first round of eliminations on Sunday. Unfortunately, the ProtectTheHarvest.com Camaro’s pass of 6.702 seconds at 206.67 mph wasn’t enough to beat McGaha’s quickest e.t. of the weekend, a 6.621 at 207.69 mph.

“This weekend just didn’t go how I wanted or expected it to go at all,” Brogdon said. “I felt confident heading into Las Vegas based off of the results we had testing here last week. Plus, The Strip has always been a strong track for me in the past.

ProtectTheHarvest.com driver Brogdon hopeful going into eliminations at The Strip

LAS VEGAS, NV – Qualifying didn’t go how Pro Stock driver Rodger Brogdon initially wanted, but a late-day turnaround has him Brogden - Pomonalooking forward to eliminations on Sunday for the SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The ProtectTheHarvest.com Camaro made its fastest qualifying run Saturday during the final round of qualifying, a 6.699 at 206.95 mph. That pass was good enough to place Brogdon in the 15th position, pitting him against Chris McGaha in the first round of eliminations Sunday.

“I’ll be ready for eliminations,” Brogdon said. “We have a fast car and I just haven’t had a good chance to show it. I feel like I can go at least two- or three-thousandths quicker than I have all weekend. If I’m right, and I feel like I am, it will be a good first-round race.

ProtectTheHarvest.com driver Brogdon ready to win in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV – Pro Stock driver Rodger Brogdon is ready to see the bright win lights at this weekend’s SummitRacing.com Roger Brogdon - GainesvilleNHRA Nationals, March 28-30 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

His ProtectTheHarvest.com Camaro has always run well at The Strip, but Brogdon isn’t putting his guard down anytime soon. He is approaching the next stop in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series just like he would any other: one round and one day at a time.

“My first focus going into Las Vegas is to make four good runs throughout qualifying,” Brogdon said. “Once we get through qualifying, then I will shift my focus to eliminations and moving through the rounds. Until then, I’m only concerned with getting as much speed as I possibly can out of my ProtectTheHarvest.com Camaro. That’s when I’ll be really happy.”

Long-lasting rivalry continues in Gainesville for ProtectTheHarvest.com driver Brogdon

GAINESVILLE, FL – ProtectTheHarvest.com Pro Stock driver Rodger Brogdon is battling for his shot at an NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series championship against one of his biggest competitors, and it was no different at Auto-Plus Raceway at Gainesville.

Unfortunately, with a pair that continues to meet, Brogdon’s 6.599 at 210.93 mph in round one wasn’t quite strong enough to pull out the upset against rival Jeg Coughlin Jr.’s 6.550 at 211.89 mph in his new Dodge Dart.

“We sure are frustrated we didn’t go further in today’s eliminations,” Brogdon said. “The whole team was hopeful that we could grab the victory early on and continue to make the car better from there. Unfortunately, today just wasn’t our day or our weekend. We battled to the end, and I’m proud of all the guys that put us in the position to be competitive.

ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV rider Adam Arana makes gains at Gatornationals

GAINESVILLE, Fl – Even though Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Adam Arana didn’t grab his first NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Protect The HarvestSeries career win during eliminations on Sunday, he still has a reason to be proud leaving Auto-Plus Raceway at Gainesville.

The ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell rider looked like he had a first-round win when he launched off the starting line ahead of John Hall with a .029 reaction. While fighting a heavy wind, Arana didn’t have enough to hold off Hall, who ran a 6.878 at 192.11 mph, compared to Arana’s 6.945 at 186.38 mph.

Brogdon is looking for more after qualifying for NHRA Gatornationals

GAINESVILLE, FL – Don’t be fooled by the qualifying time sheet: ProtectTheHarvest.com Pro Stock driver Rodger Brogdon may Roger Brogdon - Gainesvillehave struggled, but he still has a few tricks up his sleeve for the 45th annual NHRA Gatornationals at Auto-Plus Raceway at Gainesville.

“We feel good going into tomorrow,” Brogdon said. “We know we have to put together a good first run against (Jeg Coughlin Jr.) in the first round, but we think we have the car to do it. There’s a lot of power; it’s just a matter of getting the right conditions and taking full advantage of all our incremental gains this season. We’re looking to go a few rounds tomorrow.”

ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV rider Adam Arana improves in qualifying

GAINESVILLE, FL – Even though he isn’t starting eliminations where he would like to, Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Adam Arana Protect The Harvestknows he has what it takes to advance during the NHRA Gatornationals at Auto-Plus Raceway at Gainesville.

After making four consistent qualifying passes, the ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell rider ended up in the No.12 position. With an ultimate qualifying time of 6.891 seconds at 196.53 mph, Arana hopes to correct a couple of speed issues when he squares up against John Hall in eliminations on Sunday.

“We struggled with the 60-foot, which really affects the entire e.t.,” Arana said. “We kind of figured that out a little bit on the last hit, but the motor wasn’t quite as strong as what it was in the earlier sessions. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get it back up to par and be able to build off our better 60-foot from this last hit and make a good pass for E1.

GAINESVILLE, FL – It’s only the third stop of the 2014 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season, but ProtectTheHarvest.com Pro Stock driver Rodger Brogdon knows that this weekend’s 45th annual NHRA Gatornationals at Auto-Plus Raceway at Gainesville is the best place for him to start making championship moves.

Returning to a track that has given him much success in his career, Brogdon hopes that his Chevy Camaro will get it done again, especially with some of the new improvements they have made so far this season.

“I think we’re going to do well this weekend,” Brogdon said. “I’ve always done well in Gainesville in the past. I’ve even been fortunate to have won a couple of races there before. Hopefully, I will do the same again this weekend and turn it into a major points day.

“It’s going to be exciting and a lot of fun to get back to Gainesville,” Arana said. “I haven’t been on my bike since Pomona last year, and I’m dying to get back on it.”

The ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell rider has high aspirations for his second year in the series. He has his eye on the ultimate win, a championship, positioning himself amongst the leaders in the sport.
