the Ford SuperNationals the weekend of June 8-11.

Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series Race Wrap from the 16th Annual Quick Fuel Technology NMCA Bluegrass Nationals
Santa Ana CA – At first, it seemed like the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series at the 16th Annual Quick Fuel
Technology NMCA Bluegrass Nationals Presented by Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center may not get run to completion due to the extreme amount of rain, but Sunday’s weather was a sunny surprise and the race went off without a hitch.
Glenn Pushis pushed his ’13 Camaro to a 10.246 at 128.77 mph run during Chevrolet Performance Stock qualifying, and his name was positioned at the top of the list as a result. Pushis’s name was also published on the ladder for the final elimination run, but it was Jesse Wilson who pushed past Pushis when he ran 10.196 at 130.48 mph and claimed the win for Muncie, Indiana in his ’14 Camaro.
Race Wrap from the 16th Annual Quick Fuel Technology NMCA Bluegrass Nationals
Santa Ana CA – Mother Nature tried her best to disrupt the race with several rain delays, but the NMCA staff was
patient and eventually the storms passed and cars were able to get down the track at the 16th Annual Quick Fuel Technology NMCA Bluegrass Nationals Presented by Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Featuring the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. A monumental effort was made by all to get the race in before the weather turned once again, and, incredibly, all was said and done just before 4:00pm on Sunday as winners headed to the Aerospace Components Winners’ Circle.
The three power adders of the VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod category were all well represented, but it was Steve Summers whose twin-turbocharged ’16 Camaro took top honors after qualifying on a 3.810 at 214.45 mph hit. Daniel Pharris of Sikeston, Missouri, had a few minor issues with his gorgeous new Mustang during the weekend, but it wasn’t enough to keep him from squaring off against Billy Harper in the finals. There, Harper fouled at the start and opened the door for Pharris to take the win; Pharris had problems getting down the track, but got it done and made the victory official.

House of Hook Hosts Nonstop Hustle for 9th Annual NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals
Waiting for drivers who rolled into the 9th Annual NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals presented by Steeda Autosports
on April 6-9 at Atlanta Dragway was new asphalt from the eighth-mile to the quarter-mile, and they used every inch of it to lay down rousing and record-setting runs.
In the NMCA’s quickest and fastest category, VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod, Sweden’s Adam Flamholc led qualifying with a 3.72 and 201.73 mph blast from his 1963 split-window Corvette powered by a 526 Hemi and Roots-style supercharger. Along the way, he picked up a national record for elapsed-time and reached 200 mph for the first time. Right behind him was Steve Summers, who reached 3.82 and an incredible 216.03 mph to take the second-qualified spot in his turbocharged Camaro. Bridge be Damned – Tornadoes, Earthquakes, and Record-Shattering Racing
The 2017 NMRA Keystone Automotive Drag Racing series pulled in to Commerce, Georgia, after a week of wild
weather in Atlanta, which included tornadoes, an earthquake, and a collapse of a section of I-85. Just like last year, too, the second stop of the season, the 9th Annual NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals presented by Steeda Autosports, saw unseasonably chilly temperatures Thursday and Friday. The conditions presented a challenge at first, but the weather showed some sweet southern hospitality in time for Saturday and Sunday and competitors took advantage of the recently repaved surface.
A combination NMRA and NMCA VP Racing Fuels Street Outlaw field meant there were fourteen cars fighting it out, but it was Manny Buginga who led the way with his MJM Construction Corp-backed, turbocharged ’03 Cobra in qualifying with his 4.330 at 169.21 mph hit. Jacky McCarty of McCarty Performance, though, had his mind set on getting the win and stopped at nothing as he relentlessly took out the other drivers. McCarty faced off against Jarod Wenrick in the finals, and his 4.435 at 169.87 mph pass in his ’93 Mustang helped McCarty make his mission a reality.
