Run Schedule Released for SCAG PRO Superstar Shootout

INDIANAPOLIS – The Professional Racers and Owners (PRO) Organization today announced the run schedule for the 2nd annual SCAG Power Equipment PRO Superstar Shootout, February 6-8, 2025, at Bradenton Motorsports Park. The specialty race will feature some of the biggest names in drag racing from the Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock ranks vying for bragging rights and momentum headed into the 2025 NHRA season. For the second year in a row the three-day event will feature two days of qualifying on Thursday and Friday followed by a jam-packed day of elimination rounds and exhibition runs on Saturday. Every professional team will run the four qualifying rounds and the top eight qualifiers in Top Fuel and Funny Car square off in three rounds of eliminations on Saturday. The Top Fuel and Funny Cars teams on the outside of the top eight will run head-to-head in exhibition runs between rounds on Saturday while the top 16 Pro Stock competitors will run four rounds of eliminations.

“Our goal with the schedule of runs is to provide fast paced on track action with a positive pit experience for our fans,” said Chad Head, PRO Vice President. “Thursday night qualifying is a great way to lead into three rounds of qualifying on Friday and an exciting day of racing on Saturday. We wanted to maximize the runs the fans can see as well as give them time to meet the drivers and visit our sponsor displays in the pits. SCAG PRO SUPERSTAR SHOOTOUT ANNOUNCES ON-AIR TALENT

50 Day Countdown started for 2nd annual drag racing specialty race

INDIANAPOLIS – Continuing to provide an enhanced entertainment experience for the 2nd annual SCAG Power Equipment PRO Superstar Shootout, February 6-8, 2025, the Professional Racers and Owners Organization (PRO) announced the on-air talent line up for the highly anticipated event. Two of the most knowledgeable and personable motorsport personalities, Jamie Howe and Mike Dunn, will be calling all the action from the FloRacing.tv broadcasting center.  In the pits and at the top end FloRacing’s Courtney Enders will be joined by nitro Funny Car veteran Tommy Johnson Jr. The quartet of drag racing experts have over a century of combined motorsports announcing and driving experience and will deliver top-tier coverage to the FloRacing viewers.

“When we talked about who we wanted to tell the stories from on the track and in the pit at the PRO Superstar Shootout we knew we needed strong personalities with a lot of experience,” said Alan Johnson, PRO Board President. “Jamie, Mike, Courtney and Tommy bring a wealth of insight to the event. We are turning them loose to tell the story about what we hope will be another record-setting race.”

The entire event will be broadcast live on FloRacing and throughout the qualifying and elimination rounds veteran motorsports TV personality Jamie Howe will be teamed up with drag racing legend Mike Dunn. Howe has been a featured reporter across a variety of motorsports working with ESPN and FOX throughout her career. SPORTSMAN CLASSES ANNOUNCED FOR PRO SUPERSTAR SHOOTOUT, FTI PERFORMANCE CONVERTERS TO SPONSOR TOP SPORTSMAN

INDIANAPOLIS – In addition to the top professional drag racers and teams headlining the 2nd annual SCAG Power Equipment PRO Superstar Shootout, February 6-8, 2025, at Bradenton Motorsports Park, three of the toughest sportsman classes will also be on the roster. Today the Professional Racers and Owners Organization (PRO) announced Top Sportsman, Stock and Super Stock classes will compete during the star-studded event. PRO Superstar Shootout Adds Callies as Premier Sponsor in 2025

INDIANAPOLIS – One of the main benefits for all the professional teams participating in the 2nd annual SCAG Power Equipment PRO Superstar Shootout, February 6-8, 2025, in Bradenton, Florida will be getting in front of fans but also getting a jump start on off-season performance adjustments. Sick The Mag Joins PRO Superstar Shootout as Media Partner

INDIANAPOLIS – Continuing to develop unique marketing and promotional relationships Professional Racers Owners Organization (PRO), the driving force behind the 2nd annual SCAG Power Equipment Superstar Shootout, February 6-8, 2025, today announced a wide-ranging cross-promotional program focusing on media exposure and racing exhibitions with Sick the Mag. The PRO Superstar Shootout will highlight select drag-and-drive competitors in exhibition races during the star-studded three-day event.

Sick the Mag will promote the Superstar Shootout during Sick Week from January 27 – February 1, 2025, encouraging fans and participants to attend the event. The two organizations hope to highlight the unique aspects of each of their events to new audiences highlighting the future of hot rodding and drag racing entertainment. Plans are also in the works for additional driver engagements between the two organizations around the upcoming PRI Show in December.

PRO Announces the Formation of PRO Promotions, LLC, a For-Profit Business Entity

GAINESVILLE, FL – On the heels of its successful PRO Superstar Shootout event in Bradenton, Florida (February 8-10, 2024), The Professional Racers Owners Organization, Inc. (PRO), a not-for-profit 501(c)(6) business organization whose membership consists of the most popular and prestigious drag racing teams and drivers in the world, announced today the decision to form PRO Promotions, LLC, a for-profit business entity.

“The purpose of PRO Promotions, LLC is to create a new platform for the members of PRO to collectively promote the sport of professional drag racing and preserve the long-term sustainability of the sport and its competitors,” said Doug Kalitta, Kalitta Motorsports.

While PRO has been in existence since 1991 as a not-for-profit business organization that provides services and other benefits to its membership, this new formation of PRO Promotions, LLC creates an even more powerful medium to showcase PRO’s combined strength by leveraging the members’ collective intellectual properties and paving the way for larger partnerships with potential marketing and broadcast partners.
