WIX will serve as the primary sponsor and unveil a new livery for Pedregon’s 300 mph Toyota Camry at races in Las Vegas (March 28-30), Epping, N.H. (June 19-22), Seattle (Aug. 1-3) and Indianapolis (Aug. 27-Sept. 1).

Pomona, CA – Tony Pedregon, pilot of the American Racing Funny Car and two-time NHRA Nitro Funny Car World Champion visited Auto Club Raceway for the Circle K NHRA Winternationals, the 1st race on the 24-race NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

The team’s first pass on Friday produced a good base line run that placed Pedregon 6^th in the qualifying order. In the second session, Tony experienced a small fire which the crew repaired late into the night. Saturday’s first run produced a three-quarter track pass that left the team in a good position going into the final qualifier. After addressing a fuel system issue, the car over powered the race track resulting in a loss of traction placing Pedregon outside the field.

Fans and racers at Lucas Oil Raceway this past weekend helped the Andrea Pedregon Charity Foundation “A Spark of Hope” (APCF) raise funds that will benefit the IU Simon Cancer Center’s colon and prostate cancer research efforts.

A live auction Sunday evening netted $26,000 for the cause. Bidders won items from team apparel and autographed helmets to car parts and more. Unique items included a custom-built Harley-Davidson powered motorcycle and a once-in-a-lifetime NASCAR Cup racing package. All of the auction items were generously donated by APCF supporters.

SEATTLE, WA – The WIX Filters-Tony Pedregon Funny Car will make its third appearance of the year at the 20^th annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Northwest Nationals.

The third of a three race Western Swing, the WIX team will attempt to conquer the scenic Pacific Raceways as he did in 2002.

“The focus for our team is still to qualify well and prepare for a solid showing on race day,” said Pedregon.

Nitro qualifying starts on Friday at 3:15pm and 6:00pm and continues on Saturday at 1:00pm and 3:00pm with final eliminations on Sunday at 11:00am.
