Force rolls to TF triumph, Hagan stays in hunt with FC win, Glenn gets eighth PS victory of 2025, Herrera makes major move in PSM
LAS VEGAS – In her final appearance at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Brittany Force powered past Shawn Langdon in the final
round on Sunday at the 25th annual Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection, winning for the 19th time in her career.
Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the 19th of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season and the fifth of six races in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.
Force went 3.704-seconds at 337.33 mph in her 12,000-horsepower Chevrolet Accessories dragster, holding off Langdon’s run of 3.727 at 333.91 to pick up her second victory in 2025 and her fifth career win in Las Vegas. It brought out a roar from the crowd as Force, who announced her retirement from full-time racing at the end of the season, looks to close the season in style.
She qualified No. 1, setting the track speed record on Friday, and then knocked off Clay Millican and Tony Stewart on Sunday to face off against Langdon. She posted a solid .065 reaction time and quickly chased down Langdon, as her 19th career win also breaks a tie with legendary Shirley Muldowney as the winningest female in Top Fuel history. PROCK, B. FORCE, ANDERSON & HERRERA QUALIFY NO. 1 AT DODGE NHRA NEVADA NATIONALS
LAS VEGAS – Funny Car points leader Austin Prock closed out qualifying with the quickest run of the weekend on Saturday at The Strip at
Las Vegas Motor Speedway, earning his seventh No. 1 qualifier of the season at the 25th annual Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection.
Brittany Force (Top Fuel), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also qualified No. 1 at the 19th of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season and the fifth of six races in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.
Prock lowered his time in the final session, going 3.885-seconds at 335.23 mph in his 12,000-horsepower Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS, taking his 22nd top spot since joining the Funny Car ranks at the start of 2024.
Just a pair earlier, Jack Beckman went to the top spot with his second strong run of the day. But Prock and his team followed in impressive fashion, giving the reigning world champ an outside chance to clinch the world championship on Sunday. Prock opens eliminations against Jason Rupert as he looks to pick up a third straight victory in Las Vegas. Continue reading

LAS VEGAS SET FOR THRILLING FINALE IN CONGRUITY NHRA PRO MOD FINALE AT RACE POWERED BY JBS EQUIPMENT
LAS VEGAS – The championship in the Congruity NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series will be decided this weekend at The Strip Las Vegas
Motor Speedway, with race fans set for a finale that could come down to the wire.
It is the last of 10 races during the 2025 campaign and the final of four races in Pro Mod’s “Road to the Championship,” and the event is also powered by JBS Equipment.
With a huge list of standouts still in contention, the race won’t be decided until Sunday, with the possibility of a winner-take-all final round. It sets the tone for a thrilling weekend to close out a spectacular season in the Pro Mod ranks.
The class has seen victories by five different drivers this season through nine races, including three first-time winners in points leader Billy Banaka, Mike Stavrinos and Derek Menholt. The top five drivers in points are all seeking their first world NHRA Pro Mod world championship. Continue reading
PSM’S GAIGE HERRERA HEADS TO DODGE NHRA NEVADA NATIONALS WITH SENSE OF URGENCY
LAS VEGAS – It’s an entirely different situation for Pro Stock Motorcycle’s Gaige Herrera this year heading to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor
Speedway for this weekend’s 25th annual Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection.
The past two seasons, Herrera has shown up to Las Vegas looking to polish off a dominant championship season, winning the race in back-to-back years en route to the world title. This year, however, it’s a different sense of urgency as Herrera needs a big weekend to try and reel in Vance & Hines teammate Richard Gadson with only two races remaining in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.
Gadson has enjoyed a breakout season in his second year in the category, winning the most recent race in Dallas to take a 72-point lead over Herrera. That puts Gadson in the driver’s seat with two races remaining and it also means Herrera has work to do if he wants a third straight world title on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki. FUNNY CAR’S JACK BECKMAN LOOKS FOR FIRST LAS VEGAS WIN IN NEARLY 20 YEARS IN LOADED FUNNY CAR RANKS
LAS VEGAS – With two more events on the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series schedule, Funny Car veteran Jack Beckman is
ready to finish the season strong at this weekend’s 25th annual Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
It’s been nearly 20 years since Beckman claimed a win at the Las Vegas track, which has him plenty motivated for a big weekend. Currently third in points, Beckman and his PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Funny Car team will have their sights set on a victory at the penultimate event of the season, which would be Beckman’s first at the facility since the 2006 campaign.
“As much as I love that track and as much success as I’ve had there as a sportsman racer, I’ve never won since 2006 in a Funny Car,” said Beckman. “You’d think the sheer odds would favor me for that facility. I hope I’ve gotten to that tipping point because Pomona was very fickle to me in the pro car for years and now I’ve won the last four times I’ve been there. So, hopefully I’ve paid my dues for Las Vegas.” Continue reading
“TED WIENS TRICK OR TRACTION AWARD” COMING TO FRIDAY QUALIFYING AT DODGE NHRA NEVADA NATIONALS
LAS VEGAS – Already a pivotal stop in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs, Friday’s second qualifying session at the Dodge NHRA
Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will offer even more incentive for drivers in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.
NHRA officials announced today that Ted Wiens Complete Auto Service will offer a special bonus for the low qualifier in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle during the second qualifying session, which is slated to start at 3 p.m. PT on Friday.
The “Ted Wiens Trick or Traction Award” will give $3,500 to the low qualifier in the nitro classes in the second qualifier, with the top qualifier in Q2 in Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle set to pick up $2,000 and $1,000, respectively.
It provides a thrilling incentive to kick off a massive weekend in Las Vegas, as championship hopes are on the line at the fifth of six playoff races in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs. Continue reading
TOP FUEL’S SHAWN LANGDON READY TO BE AGGRESSIVE TO STAY IN TITLE HUNT IN LAS VEGAS
LAS VEGAS – Top Fuel’s Shawn Langdon is headed to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for this weekend’s 25th annual Dodge NHRA
Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection with a singular focus and that’s winning for the fourth time this season.
The past Top Fuel world champion enters the weekend third in points, but knows it will take a near-perfect finish, plus a falter from his Kalitta Motorsports teammate, points leader Doug Kalitta, to win another world championship.
Rather than wish for that, Langdon is focused solely on winning the race, which serves as the fifth of six playoff races in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs. At the very least, a victory this weekend in Las Vegas in his 12,000-horsepower Kalitta Air 25th anniversary dragster would at least keep him in championship contention heading into the finale.
“We have to win the last two races,” Langdon said. “Doug’s been on a pretty good run; when Doug and AJ (crew chief Alan Johnson) get in the zone, they’re very tough to beat. Justin (Ashley) is a great driver, and when his team gets their car going down the track, they’re very tough to beat. We just need to win. We’ll go to Las Vegas, and we have to keep going rounds and hopefully get a couple wins. Continue reading
