Wrapping up the 2014 Super Chevy Show Presented by Chevrolet Performance
MILLINGTON, TN – The annual Super Chevy Show presented by Chevrolet Performance at Memphis International Raceway (MIR) 
brought out over 30,000 fans to celebrate all things Chevrolet. The show offered something for everyone with car shows, drag racing, swap meet, car coral and a midway filled with vendors and family fun activities. The action at the track was nonstop and highlighted by the PRO Show, the Superwinch wheel stander and the Hanna Stable of Jet Funny Cars and the ever popular Queen of Diamonds and of course the most incredible racing competition on the drag strip.

16-Car Pro Modified Field will Battle it out at Memphis International Raceway
MILLINGTON, TN – Pro Modifieds are one of the most well-known categories at the Super Chevy Show presented by Chevrolet 
Performance as the fans love to feel the grandstands shake beneath their feet when the supercharged engines crank up and pound the pavement. There will be a record number of these doorslammers onsite at Memphis International Raceway (MIR) this weekend with qualifying on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12 and then head-to-head eliminations on Sunday, April 13.
Pro Mods power down the historic 1/8-mile drag strip at speeds of over 200 MPH in under four seconds. They have been a staple in drag racing since the beginning as everybody wanted to know who had the quickest and fastest door car thus creating the Pro Mod category. Fabled veterans like Scotty Cannon, Bill Kuhlmann and Shannon “The Iceman” Jenkins paved the way for the class today by providing excitement to fans for years and driving others to follow in their footsteps.
Super Chevy Show Presented by Chevrolet Performance and the World Class Car Show at Memphis International Raceway
MILLINGTON, TN – The Super Chevy Show presented by Chevrolet Performance is a three-day event at Memphis International 
Raceway (MIR) that offers something for every car enthusiasts and race fan. One of the star events in this automotive celebration is the car show where gorgeous Chevy vehicles are put on display and compete for specialty, class and the coveted Best in Show award.
The Show ‘N Shine festival of cars kicks-off the celebration on Friday, April 11. The competition heats up Saturday, April 12 with the Specialty awards and the grand finale is Sunday, April 13 with the class awards and the coveted best in class award. Judging for the specialty awards begins Saturday at 11:00 a.m. CT with the awards presentation at 4:00 p.m. CT. The class awards will be judged Sunday at 11:00 a.m. CT and the awards, plus Best in Show, will be announced at 3:30 p.m. CT.
THE SUPER CHEVY SHOW PRESENTED BY CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE RETURNS TO MEMPHIS INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY
MILLINGTON, TN – Memphis International Raceway (MIR) to host the Super Chevy Show presented by Chevrolet Performance 
the weekend of April 11-13, 2014. As the second stop on the 12-event series, the show will feature high-powered Chevy racing excitement and spectacular Chevy show cars, along with the nation’s finest performance and restoration midway for General Motors products.
Beginning at noon on Friday, the three-day car show starts with a Show & Shine Festival of Cars, with specialty awards on Saturday and Sunday’s activities concluding the event with the most sought after Best of Show and class awards.
Memphis International Raceway Enhances R.T. Turbines Junior Dragster Program
Millington, TN – Memphis International Raceway (MIR) announces, effective immediately, the R. T. Turbines Junior Dragster 
program will include a Second Chance Shootout. With the recognition that the Junior class is the future in drag racing and in an effort to increase the number of passes these rising stars are able to run, MIR has added the Second Chance Shootout as part of the current schedule for the IHRA Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams.
Street Warz of Memphis – Racing Made Safe
Millington, TN – Memphis International Raceway™ (MIR), in conjunction with Racers of Memphis, is pleased to announce a 
program designed to move illegal street racing to a safe and controlled environment. In an effort to minimize and discourage the local street racing scene, Street Warz of Memphis will take place monthly with Friday, March 14, 2014 as the first of seven events scheduled.
“Safety is the number one priority when it comes to racing, and in working with the Racers of Memphis, we feel we have put together a program that does just that – keeps racing off the street and brings it to the track,” said Pam Kendrick, General Manager at MIR.
Summit Bracket Racing Series Presented by COMP Cams: Results Race 2
Millington, TN – The Summit Bracket Racing Series Presented by: COMP Cams race two of a 14 race series was held this past 
Saturday Night and what a race it was. The pits filled with competitors looking to make their bid at 2014 Track Champion.
MIR looking to get one of two races in on the weekend, started a little early on the day before threatening weather moved into the area. The Winter Storm of 2014 did bring racing to a close on Saturday night by causing the cancellation of Sunday’s event, but Saturday’s race was filled with steep competition making the points chase that much more intense. As the night came to a close, the racing heated up and the competition was at its best, last week’s winners battling to get back to the top and competitors looking to bump them off the top spot!
First Race of the 2014 Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams
Millington, TN – The sound of engines filled the air on the opening day of the Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP 
Cams with over 100 entries on the day among four classes and not to mention test cars adding to the full day of racing. The skies were blue and the sun was shining, making great condition for the kick-off to the 14-race series. The cool temperatures allowed for great results as all the racers were eager to get their race cars out of the garage and down the track.
Paul Cartwright, Director of Race & Facility Operations said, “It was great to see all the racers back at the facility after what seemed to be such a long winter, it’s been just over three months since we’ve run a race, it felt good today.” Cartwright went on to say, “We couldn’t have asked for a better start to what will be a great 14-race series for 2014.”
