Keith Haney hoping to make sweet music at Memphis Drags
MEMPHIS, TN – Keith Haney and his Keith Haney Racing team are ready for the other Pro Nitrous teams to sing the
blues during the PDRA Memphis Drags this weekend at Memphis International Raceway.
Haney is coming off a spectacular performance in the Throwdown at T-Town last weekend at Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park, where his Lucas Oil/RacingJunk.com Camaro qualified No. 2 and raced to the final round. Now, he’s looking to improve that by one spot in Memphis.
“We’re ready for ’em,” Haney said. “We’ve got a good hot rod and things are going our way. I’ve been having some good, consistent passes, and this Reher-Morrison motor is doing some serious mph. The team’s doing great.”
Keith Haney, son Logan going for big victories this weekend
MECHANICSVILLE, MD – Keith Haney will be racing his Lucas Oil/RacingJunk.com Pro Nitrous Chevrolet in the
PDRA North-South Shootout this weekend at Maryland International Raceway, but part of his focus will be away from his Keith Haney Racing team.
Haney’s son, Logan, will be participating in an 8-and-under World Series baseball game back home in Oklahoma. Haney is an assistant coach for Logan’s Oklahoma Chiefs, and it pains him not to watch his son play.
“I’ll be antsy all weekend,” Haney said. “I’ll be on pins and needles worrying about what those boys are doing, and Logan will be on pins and needles seeing what I’m doing. It’s going to be exciting. Hopefully we can both bring home a victory.”
Haney was able to attend opening ceremonies for the World Series on Wednesday before departing for Maryland. Logan’s team made the state championship game while Haney was racing in Martin, Mich., three weeks ago.

MARTIN, MI – When the pundits consider Pro Nitrous drivers capable of dipping into the 3.6-second range in the
Professional Drag Racers Association ranks, they often think of several capable contenders, but they better not forget about Keith Haney and his Keith Haney Racing team at this weekend’s PDRA Summer Drags at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park.
“They’re looking for Jay Cox, Travis Harvey, Jason Harris, Tommy Franklin, and all them boys,” Haney said. “They’re expecting all those guys to run the 3.69 because they’ve been a little bit closer. Well, all of a sudden, here comes a Midwest boy.”
Keith Haney records personal-best numbers at Mid-America Open
TULSA, OK – The next time the Professional Drag Racers Association stages an event, Keith Haney and the Keith
Haney Racing Pro Nitrous team are sure to be one of the favorites. Haney is coming off a spectacular showing at the Mid-America Open at Gateway Motorsports Park, where he set his personal-best elapsed time and speed.
“I’ve got a lot more coming for all of them,” Haney said. “They just got to see a little bit of us in St. Louis. They’re fixing to get the whole ball of wax.
“Now, instead of people taking me for granted, I’ve made a statement. You’ve got to know when you go to the line next to me that you better be ready.”
Keith Haney ready to bounce back at Rockingham
ROCKINGHAM, NC – Keith Haney and his Keith Haney Racing team are ready to bounce back during this weekend’s
PDRA Spring Nationals at Rockingham Dragway.
At last month’s season opener, the Texas Nationals at Texas Motorplex, various mechanical gremlins kept Haney from showing the potential of his Lucas Oil/RacingJunk.com Pro Nitrous Chevrolet, but he’s eager to get to Rockingham and go fast.
“We’re ready to roll into Rockingham with guns blazing,” Haney said. “We figured we couldn’t have had much worse of a weekend in Texas. Hopefully, we’ve got all our gremlins out of the way.
Keith Haney Racing gunning for PDRA title as 2015 season begins
ENNIS, TX – Keith Haney is gunning for the 2015 PDRA championship, and the hunt begins with the Texas
Nationals this weekend at Texas Motorplex.
Keith Haney Racing had a busy off-season despite returning for the 2015 season with the same Pro Nitrous racecar and crew that closed 2014.
“We’re excited to get going,” Haney said. “The guys worked really hard in the off-season getting things prepared. We’ve tried to streamline things over the winter, to make it where we can be more efficient at the racetrack. We changed some procedures and processes and have some new things for our trailer, trying to make a better race team.
Keith Haney Racing helps educate STEM elementary school students
BROKEN ARROW, OK – Keith Haney Racing owner/driver Keith Haney helped plant the seeds of drag racing as a
career during a recent visit to an elementary school.
Haney took his Pro Nitrous Chevrolet to Rhoades Elementary School in Broken Arrow last week and interacted with more than 400 students who are studying a science, technology, engineering, and math curriculum at the school.
“We thought it would be a great opportunity to allow them to see how these subjects are applied in the racing world,” Haney said. “The kids listened to a brief description about the car and how it works, and then I talked to them about the safety aspects of the sport.”
After successful test, Haney excited for debut of new Pro Nitrous Camaro
ROCKINGHAM, NC – Keith Haney Racing completed a successful two-day test of his new Pro Nitrous Chevrolet Camaro at Rockingham
Dragway on Wednesday, putting a wide smile on Keith Haney’s face as he prepares to debut the car in competition.
The first race for the new Larry Jeffers Race Cars Camaro will be the PDRA Championship Finals this weekend at Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg, Va., and the expectations are high for the Lucas Oil/RacingJunk.com Chevy.
“To win — that is the expectation,” Haney said. “We have all the right parts, all the right pieces, all the right people. I’ve said it before, instead of being a pretender, it’s time to be a contender. With the right people, the right crew, I don’t think anything can go wrong.”
Keith Haney Racing goes all-in with new Pro Nitrous Camaro
TULSA, OK – Keith Haney Racing is coming back with a vengeance.
The Oklahoma-based team is testing a new Pro Nitrous race car this week at an undisclosed location in preparation for the PDRA Championship Finals this weekend at Virginia Motorsports Park.
Haney recently took delivery of a new Larry Jeffers Race Cars Pro Nitrous Chevrolet Camaro, a state-of-the-art drag race vehicle. The new car will be unveiled to the public later in the week.
The new car will be powered by a Reher-Morrison Racing Engines motor and tuned by Brandon Switzer of Switzer Dynamics and Brandon Pesz.
“It’s tuned by the two best guys in the country,” Haney said. “And we’ve got the best crew in the country, too.”
Jeffers’ cars are renowned for their domination of the eighth-mile Pro Extreme class, and Haney is confident his car will be competitive in Pro Nitrous.
