BRANDON FOSTER BATTLES AT FIRST BRISTOL RACE
BRISTOL, TN – Through three days of the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals rookie of the year contender Brandon Foster was
challenged running his Aqua Prop Pro Stock Camaro in a wide variety of conditions at Bristol Dragway. Through two days of qualifying on Friday and Saturday Foster and his Chevrolet Camaro powered by KB Titan Racing made four consistent runs that kept the business owner turned professional driver in the top half of the 16-car qualifier field. His best pass of 6.682 seconds was quick enough to position Foster as the No. 8 qualifier going into race day.
“We made four quality runs on Friday and Saturday in hot conditions,” said Foster. “You always want to go quicker. We wound up No. 8 so that gives us lane choice. I need to do my job and the car needs to get off the starting line. I felt comfortable in the Aqua Prop Camaro every run.”
Heading into race day Foster drew Cristian Cuadra and the Corral Boots Ford Mustang Pro Stocker in the first round. Weather conditions changed overnight forcing all the Pro Stock teams to reevaluate their race day set ups. For Foster as half of the No. 8 versus No. 9 combo he knew he would be the first car to hit the track. Continue reading
Pro Stock Driver Brandon Foster Chasing History at Thunder Valley Nationals
Owasso, OK – NHRA Pro Stock rookie Brandon Foster will add his name to list of Pro Stock competitors and legends who have raced at the
famed Bristol Dragway in the heart of Thunder Valley this weekend at the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals. The business owner from Oklahoma is chasing his dream of Pro Stock success racing the Aqua Prop Chevrolet Camaro powered by KB Titan Racing. So far this season Foster is holding his own in one of the toughest professional categories on the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.
“This season has been a whirlwind,” said Foster, after his first race at historic New England Dragway last weekend. “Every race I am at a new track figuring out everything from how wide the groove is to where you park your rental car. The best part for me is getting in that Aqua Prop Camaro. That is the one thing that is the same at every track. That race car is becoming like home for me.”
Foster is making his run for Rookie of the Year against some strong competition, but he is holding his own. Sitting in the Pro Stock Top Ten after seven races and picking up a handful of round wins along the way. He is improving every weekend behind the wheel, and he knows that he can continue to challenge himself on and off the track. Continue reading
Brandon Foster Makes Most of New England Nationals
EPPING, NH – For rookie of the year contender Brandon Foster every race is a chance to get better and make a statement. This weekend at
the NHRA New England Nationals Foster and the Aqua Prop backed Chevrolet Camaro Pro Stock racecar took advantage of some tricky track conditions to continue to improve with their KB Titan Racing powered Camaro. After two days of qualifying, which Foster cut short by one round to attend to business interests in his home state of Oklahoma, the Aqua Prop Camaro was the 14th quickest Pro Stocker on the property.
“I had to stay in Oklahoma Friday morning, but we got to the track just in time for Q2,” said Foster. “Racing is my passion, but I sometimes have to take care of business to be able to race. I want to thank my crew guys for having everything ready for me and we came out and made a solid run. That’s 5.583 second pass gave us something to build on. I haven’t been in the car for a while, but it all came right back to me.”
Foster who was making his fifth start of his rookie season but only his third national event in the traditional side by side racing format. The Aqua Prop Camaro competed admirably in the two four-wide nationals but skipped the Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 Nationals two weeks ago. Continue reading
Rookie Season Shifts to High Gear for Brandon Foster
OWASSO, OK – It has been seven weeks since NHRA rookie of the year contender and Pro Stock standout Brandon Foster raced side by side
on the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. Foster competed in the two four-wide nationals in April, but those unique events are not the same as the traditional head-to-head match-ups Foster is quickly acclimating himself to behind the wheel of his Aqua Prop Chevrolet Camaro. This weekend Foster and the Aqua Prop Chevrolet Camaro will make his first appearance at the New England Dragway.
“I can’t wait to get back to just racing one other driver,” said Foster. “The four-wides were cool and I feel like I did a pretty good job but there is nothing like pulling up beside one other person and seeing who can get to the finish line stripe first. I have heard good things about New England Dragway and the fact that it is all-concrete should make for some great racing.”
Foster has shown he can handle himself behind the wheel of his Aqua Prop Chevrolet Camaro that gets its power from KB Titan racing. In two of his first three races the rookie raced to the quarterfinals taking out veteran driver Chris MaGaha at the Winternationals and Troy Coughlin Jr. at the Gatornationals. Those round wins were solid efforts for Foster who is still learning with every run down the track. Continue reading
