ELLISON EMERGES AS $15K CHAMPION ON FRIDAY DURING THE BTE WORLD FOOTBRAKE CHALLENGE XVI

Bristol, TN – Bristol Dragway was once again filled with eager footbrake racers as the first of three $15,000 main event races kicked off Friday at the BTE World Footbrake Challenge XVI. Drivers were given one time trial per entry in order to get their cars dialed in for the mountain air which was then followed by opening ceremonies.

This year, Coalburg Racing Promotions acknowledged recently departed competitors and friends, John DiBartolomeo, Greg Rushing, and Lucas McKinney. In remembrance of Lucas, twenty-two seconds of silence befell the racetrack, followed by a memorial pass down the racetrack by his father, Todd. The impact of these losses will be felt for a lifetime, but we will continue to honor their memory and love of the sport.

Once the tears were wiped away, it was officially time to get down to business. By the time first round was completed, an impressive 434 entries had made their way onto the racing surface in hopes of cashing in for $15K.

Elma, NY – Top Sportsman racer, Bob Bauer and his son, Top Dragster Driver, Robert Bauer III are headed back to Grand Bend, Bob Bauer - Grand Bend, ONOntario, Canada for the Quick32/PMRA “Thunder by the Beach” event this Labour Day Weekend.

Both Bob and Robert did well in their last Quick32 /PMRA outing with both making it to the finals of their respective classes.

“We did pretty well last time out but there’s always room for improvement,” said Team Owner/Driver, Bob Bauer. “We love bringing the K100 team to Grand Bend and seem to do pretty well there but we will be coming up a day later than we normally do as Robert (RB3) will be running his dragster at our local track in Lancaster, NY. If you include Juniors; Robert has been driving most of his life. He’s won a lot of races and track championships and he’s shown a ton of promise with his new car. One thing we’ve noticed is that he’s not in the seat as much as he was in the Juniors so we feel that if he takes his K100 Dragster to our local track prior to running at Grand Bend it may help him get more comfortable because of the extra seat time,” added Bob Bauer

Elma, NY – Top Sportsman Racer Bob Bauer will debut a new scheme on his Nitrous Injected GTO this weekend at the Summit K100 50th on BauerRacing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio.

Bauer and K-100 chose the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals to debut the new scheme because this is the closest national event to both K-100 home operations  and Bauer Racings home; both just outside of Buffalo, NY.

“Logistically for our friends, family and employees Norwalk just makes the most sense. It’s one of the best events on the NHRA tour and it’s close to home,” said Operations Manager, Eric Fragale. Team owner/driver Bob Bauer agreed that Norwalk was the best available option for the debut. “Until we get a ¼ mile strip on the waterfront in Buffalo… Norwalk is the closest thing we have to a home NHRA track. It’s great here. The people and the atmosphere but, a waterfront strip in the B-Lo would be unreal!” said Bauer.
