Boland, Wildgust, Wicke, and Orfanidis head qualifying at US 131 in Michigan

MARTIN, MI – After four rounds of qualifying, the fields are set for eliminations for the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick
PMRA-10th-logosm32 Sportsman Series, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series later today.

The three drag race series are racing as part of the Super Chevy Show at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan. This is the second round for all three series in 2014.

Bruce Boland of Stoney Creek, Ontario qualified number one with his 1968 Firebird Pro Modified. The three-time PMRA champion is on a streak, winning the season opener held in Grand Bend.

Qualifying number one on the Top Dragster side of the Quick 32 Sportsman Series is Scott Wildgust of Wartburg, Ontario with Kevin Wicke of Stratford, Ontario in the number one spot on the Top Sportsman side. Wicke is a former two time champion of the series, which is presented by NAPA Auto Parts.

Pro Bike rider John Orfanidis of Toronto, Ontario has qualified number one in the PBSS on his Suzuki. He won the inaugural Martin race in the PBSS ranks, which is presented by Wiseco Performance Products.

Eliminations get underway at 11:15 am, with the final rounds scheduled to run at 5 pm.

The Pro Modified Racing Association (PMRA), www.PMRA.ca enters its 10th season of popular Pro Modified racing this year, while the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, presented by NAPA Auto Parts, www.Quick32.ca will begin its sixth season, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS) presented by Wiseco Performance Products, www.PBSS.ca begins its fourth year of operation. Several times during the race season all three series compete at the same weekend events, offering a colourful, diverse, and exciting package of drag racing action.
