Blown Money “Mob Edition” On Display at Mirage Hotel and Casino during NHRA Toyota Nationals

Grand Junction, CO. – The history of Las Vegas’ connection to organized crime has been the subject of many books and feature films. Alleged “Mobsters” Bugsy Siegal and Meyer Lansky sometimes received credit for creating the “Modern Day Vegas”. If you leave their “connections” aside and look at their dreams of a paradise in the middle of a desert; you will see what was the drive within them that became VEGAS!!

The drive and dedication shown by the men who chose to invest in early Vegas is what gave NHRA Pro Modified team owner, Mike Knowles, the idea to create the “Mob Edition” Mustang. The “Mob Edition” Mustang, built by Tim McAmis race cars and HAND PAINTED by Jeff Hoskins, features many famous scenes and people including it’s driver, Al Capone. The attention to detail on this car is unique and yet unsurpassed by any other true racing machine. The Blown Money team, will have the team’s second car, the “Mob Edition” Mustang, on display at the Mirage Hotel and Casino this week from Wed the 29th till Monday November 3rd.

While the Mustang is on display at the Mirage the team will be on “The Strip” with their race proven Camaro. Coming off a win at the last NHRA Pro Mod event the team is hoping to “let it ride” in Vegas and go for another Wally. “A lot of people told me that after you get your first win out of the way they start getting easier. Well, I hope so cause it’s pretty addicting and I’d really like to take home the win here in Vegas with our “Vegas Edition” Camaro,” said team owner/driver, Mike Knowles

This week at the Mirage Hotel and Casino are comedian, Jay Leno and the Beatles LOVE show. The Beatles Love is beyond tribute, this is a physical manifestation of their music and lyrics. Performed by Cirque do Soleil, these songs are so well known but yet reinvented through dance and aerial acrobatics.

The 14th annual NHRA Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas, NV. Is the final event of the 2014 NHRA Pro Mod season. After their recent win Mike Knowles’ Blown Money team is riding high and is hoping to keep it rolling in Vegas. Although the Blown Money Team did not make every event on the 2014 tour they currently sit within the top 10 in national points and are looking to stay there.

Each Pro Modified team will be afforded three qualifying attempts with the first set for Friday at 1:00 PM with the second later the same day at 3:15. The final attempt is scheduled for Saturday at 1:00 PM with the first round of eliminations marked for 3:30 PM that evening.

Eliminations will continue Sunday with the second round set for 1:00 PM , sandwiched between Pro Stock and the Nitro categories.
