BENNETT AUTO SUPPLY 31st ANNUAL CITRUS NATIONALS RETURNS NOVEMBER 24 & 25

Jupiter, FL – This Thanksgiving, Palm Beach International Raceway is giving thanks for horsepower with the return of the biggest drag race of the year, The Bennett Auto Supply 31st Annual Citrus Nationals presented by South Florida Chevrolet Dealers, November 24 & 25.

For thirty years hundreds of racers have made turkey, stuffing and jet fuel staples of their Thanksgiving family tradition. Each year horsepower enthusiasts and race fans travel to West Palm Beach filling the stands and staging lanes for a drag race of unparalleled gear slamming, pavement pounding, edge-of-your-seat racing action. The event will feature drag racers from around the country racing throughout the weekend and the fan-favorite Pro Exhibition Show featuring jet cars and wheel standers in the early evening on Saturday and Sunday.

For the last race of the year, racers will test metal against mettle battling for bragging rights and thousands of dollars in cash prizes. Race classes include Pro Mod, Quick 16 Dragster, Quick 16 Door Car, Super Street 10.90 Index, Top Eliminator/Box, Super Gas, Super Comp, Street Bike and the Junior Dragster Turkey Day slam.

The holiday will spark rivalry amongst the Pro Modified class, known as the “world’s fastest door slammers,” where racers will compete for $3,000 in first place. The Pro Modified class is one of drag racing’s most popular divisions with large engines propelling the cars to quarter-mile speeds of over 240-mph with sub six-second times. Engines in the class are diverse with supercharged, nitrous-assisted or turbocharger power plants.
