Bastiao to debut in Carters PX Camaro at Topeka

Sacramento, Ca – After almost half a season without a secure driver, Don Carter has Nick Bastiao (TAFC Tuner/Driver) behind the wheel of his Pro Extreme 1968 Camaro for the remainder of the 2011 ADRL season, their first event together will be this weekend in Topeka, Kansas.

The Camaro has seen its fair share of different drivers this season as the initial driver just wasn’t getting the job done in testing and at the first event in Ennis. Don then asked his good friend Bret Williamson to take over temporarily at Palm Beach and Maple Grove but with Williamson’s own racing schedule starting up with his west-coast based Pro Mod car he couldn’t commit to any other ADRL events to drive for Carter.

That’s when Don got in contact with Nick Bastiao and they worked out a deal. They tested in Topeka on Monday after the NHRA event a couple weeks ago and made some solid laps with Nick getting used to the car.

Since testing they have made some changes to the car for Bastiao to be more comfortable inside and some changes on the launch to lower the first half of the 660. “Our 60’ numbers were weak but after 60 feet it was very promising so we are changing the launch program and hopefully we will see some significant progress this weekend” Carter said.

Don, Nick and the entire Don Carter Motorsports crew are looking forward to this new venture and their exciting debut this weekend in Topeka.

Don would like to thank www.NorCalCopiers.com and www.LifeMedID.com for their support this season.
