Ames Performance Pontiac Nationals Pulling Into Summit Motorsports Park

Norwalk, OH – 2023 is a significant year for Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. It marks the 60th anniversary of the facility, the 50th anniversary of the Bader family’s ownership of it and the 32nd anniversary of the very popular Ames Performance Pontiac Nationals, which is set for July 21-23.

The annual event, which grows in size and significance each year, is one of the largest of its kind in the country.

Pontiac devotees will drive down the quarter-mile in their eye-catching and collectible Tempests, Trans Ams, Firebirds, Fieros, GTOs and other gorgeous cars from the automaker, and they will proudly display them in a designated car show area that will stretch across multiple fields of grass at Summit Motorsports Park.

Legendary and loved Pontiac racer Arnie “The Farmer” Beswick will be on-site to talk with fans and sign autographs while surrounded by some of his historic cars, and there will be a substantial swap meet, performance marketplace and opportunities to buy or sell Pontiacs.

Racers will go wheels-up for the Tin Indian Performance Wheelie Contest, and the 60th Anniversary Pontiac 421 Super Duty Display is sure to delight.

“Summit Motorsports Park is proud to partner with Pete and Andi Woodruff of Super Duty Promotions for this event,” said Bill Bader Jr., Summit Motorsports Park president. “It has become famous for its caliber of cars, and brand-loyal fans come from all over to be part of it. Judging from last year’s event, this year’s event could be the largest yet.”

Summit Motorsports Park is at 1300 State Route 18, Norwalk, Ohio. Please note that swap meet spaces for this event are now sold out and will not be available for purchase at the gate. For more information and advance tickets, visit summitmotorsportspark.com or call 419-668-5555.
