17th Annual NMCA World Street Finals Presented by Chevrolet Performance
2018 Champions Will Be Crowned!
The 17th Annual NMCA World Finals Presented by Chevrolet Performance brings to close a record setting season for
the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals presented by E3 Spark Plugs – a season where car counts in all classes continue to rise as the popularity of street car-style drag racing continues its renaissance.
However, before the end of this season arrives, there is one more action-packed event which needs to be played out at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis the weekend of September 21-23 as racers gather one last time in hopes of clinching a championship, secure their place in the top ten or use the early fall air and great track preparation to attempt a personal best one more time before winter closes in.
From the sheer power of VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod to the crazy small tire action of the racers in Mickey Thompson Radial Wars, Vortech Superchargers Street Outlaw and Edelbrock Xtreme Street, the action will be wall-to-wall beginning Friday, September 21st and not end until champions are crowned in the Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle on Sunday.
With several class titles yet to be decided, the finals always offer some of the best racing action of the season as those in contention battle for every point they can find – from setting records, to grabbing an early round victory over a racer they are battling. When it comes to championships, every round matters. Many titles in fact, are not decided until the final rounds on the weekend, but there is a lot more to this race than just those chasing points.
As in years past, this race features the Nostalgia Super Stock All-Star race featuring the nation’s best NSS racers compete in the cars, which defined the muscle car era.
If you’re more of a modern muscle car fan, there’s plenty of action for you as one of the hottest classes in drag racing, Factory Super Car, takes to the strip at Indy. Featuring today’s quickest and fastest offerings from the “Big Three”, watching these factory muscle cars scream down the track is sure to put you on your feet.
It all begins Friday September 21 and concludes on Sunday, September 23rd. If you’re a muscle car or drag racing enthusiast, make your plans to attend Lucas Oil Raceway!
