Longevity, dedication, professionalism, innovation and success describe only a handful of people in the sport of drag racing, and without a doubt one of the key names on this short and distinguished list is that of Brad Anderson.

Colorado native Anderson got his start in drag racing behind the wheel of a stocker in the 1960s before eventually working his way up to the Alcohol Funny Car class, where he amassed an impressive 24 national event victories and three NHRA world championships. Anderson was the hands-down driver to beat in Alcohol Funny Car in the mid-1980s and won the prestigious U.S. Nationals three times.

Anderson’s impact on the AFC class, and a number of others, however, went far beyond his on-track success as he was responsible for dozens of other event victories and championships in nitro and alcohol categories as a provider of cutting-edge performance parts. Now, as it has been for more than 30 years, Brad Anderson Enterprises’ engine block and cylinder head production is world-renowned in the sport of drag racing.

BAE engine components can be found around the motorsports world in every arena, from tractor pulls, drag boats, sand drags, monster trucks, mud bogs, nostalgia Funny Car, alcohol and fuel Funny Car, alcohol and Top Fuel dragsters. And of course door cars in a number of categories are equipped with BAE components.

In the PDRA, BAE’s long list of customers range from those running in the Pro Extreme class all the way through Top dragster and Top sportsman.

“I feel good about the PDRA as it continues to move forward,” Anderson said. “They’ve made a lot of positive moves and they are the future for eighth-mile door cars. A lot of our customers choose to race with the PDRA and we’re just trying to support them.”

Anderson takes great pride in being the manufacturer of choice for racers looking for the best engineered and best built parts available when it comes to putting together reliable race-winning combinations.

“We try very hard to give our customers what they want,” Anderson said.

“We are extremely happy to welcome Brad Anderson and BAE to the PDRA this season,” said PDRA Race Director Bob Harris. “Brad’s reputation as a top-notch competitor, parts designer and manufacturer is second to none. Many of our racers depend on BAE components to give them a winning edge, and to have this prominent company as a part of the PDRA as we kick off our second season is a perfect fit for all of us.”
