Larsen Motorsports Joins Florida Tech In New Affiliation

Racing Organization Will Relocate to University Facility in Palm Bay, Fla.

Daytona, FL – Larsen Motorsports (LMS) announced today it has joined forces with Florida Institute of Technology to create a powerful Larson Motorsportsassociation that will further the goals and enhance the opportunities of the company and the university.

“We have had our eye on Florida Tech for some time now,” said Elaine Larsen, who co-founded Larsen Motorsports with her husband Chris and is one of its leading race car drivers. “The university is a first-tier, private research institution that is experiencing rapid growth in a number of areas of LMS interest. Our partnership will allow us both to collaborate in areas of research and education in ways unique to education and the motorsports industry.”

LMS will relocate its operations from Daytona Beach, Fla., to a Florida Tech facility in Palm Bay, Fla., not far from the university’s main campus in Melbourne. The new, 27,000-square-foot space will contain full design, engineering, training, fabrication and day-to-day operations capabilities implemented specifically for Larsen Motorsports.

“We now have a strategic partnership and the facility to make the real contribution to the motorsports industry that I have always wanted,” said Chris Larsen. “It is a dream come true.”

This is LMS’ largest expansion, Larsen added. “This move will align LMS to help promote motorsports and high performance vehicles careers and education like never before,” he said.
