This happened during the finals of the NMCA 2009 season opener in Bradenton Fl. Spiro was unhurt in the incident. This was not the famed single turbo car Spiro has campaigned for many years, but the new twin turbo car they finished in 2008. The car has not returned to the track since the crash.
