WFO RADIO ROLLS OUT EXPANSIVE PRE-RACE PODCASTS IN ADVANCE OF CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE U.S. NATIONALS

WFO Motorsports podcast celebrates 10 year anniversary

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – WFO Radio NHRA Nitro will be presenting its 65th Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals podcast by rolling out new interviews each day throughout the week leading up to eliminations on Labor Day.  Beginning on Tuesday interviews with NHRA’s lead announcer Alan Reinhart and 2015 Funny Car winner Jack Beckman went live. Over the next few days interviews with MotorTrend Roadkill star David Freiburger, two-time Pro Stock World Champion Erica Enders, journalists Kevin McKenna from NHRA National Dragster, defending Pro Mod winner Steve Jackson, Comp racer Ed Federkeil, Super Gas racer Hank Stewart, and John DiBartolomeo from Drag Racing Edge Magazine will go live. John Force Racing’s Robert Hight, a three-time event winner, will conclude the coverage.

“I wanted to do something special for the U.S. Nationals,” explained WFO Radio founder and host Joe Castello. “By rolling out new interviews each day people can consume more content with a shorter time commitment. This is the busiest week of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season and I wanted WFO Radio to be a part of it every day.”

For over ten years NHRA and motorsports fans have been able to tune in weekly to WFO Radio to hear from race winners, record setters and some of the biggest personalities across the drag racing universe. One of the earliest podcasters Castello has built a reputation as one of the “go-to” interviewers when racers have a story to tell or news to break.

“It has been a wild ride these past ten years. When I first started most people had no idea what a podcast was,” explained Castello. “Our audience and reach has steadily grown and ten years later I am really proud of the stories we have told and some of the news we have broken. I think I can count on one hand the number of times we haven’t had all the NHRA race winners on WFO Radio the week after they won. That is an amazing streak and it shows you the power of our podcast. We are going to continue to keep our shows fresh and interesting. The week of Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals interviews is proof of that concept.”

As part of “The Big Go with WFO” Castello has released a new show logo and will also be contributing through his NHRA announcing duties all weekend. Fans can hear all the podcasts on the website:  https://wforadio.com/ as well as through Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
