Planning Underway for an Unparalleled 43rd Annual Kelly Night Under Fire

Norwalk, OH – With enormous amounts of entertainment, energy and explosives planned, the 43rd Annual Kelly Night Under Fire – The Greatest Show in Drag Racing™ — is shaping up to be a spine-tingling spectacle on Aug. 8, 2020 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

Bob Motz, who famously burned down the billboard behind the burnout box in his jet engine-powered truck at last year’s event, will be back, and Russ Lethbridge and his jet engine-powered truck will also be part of the all-new show.

Famous and fast NHRA Funny Car drivers John Force, Jack Beckman, Terry Haddock and Dale Creasy Jr., and NHRA Top Fuel dragster drivers Brittany Force, Antron Brown, Cameron Ferre, and one more to be named, will be flying.

Bringing even more heat will be North American Jet Car Championship contenders Ernie Bogue and Beast from the East, Josh Graham and Eastern Raider, Danny Sullivan and Chicago Rush, Robert Albertson and Blazing Angel, Shelly Segal and Firestarter, Al Zukaskas and Hot Blade and Tammy Gatlin and Lone Star Lightning. An appearance by Scotty “Heat” Holdridge, who had a wreck in his 50 Cal jet engine-powered dragster a while back and is building a new dragster, is tentative.

Wheelstander Jim Brewer, in Peacemaker, and wheelstander Richard Hutchins, in Chevy Rebellion, will hold on as their hot rods head for the sky, and sixteen Pro Mod drivers in the R&R Auto Body/DeCerbo Construction Rumble Wars will pack on the horsepower.

Added adrenaline will come from Top Fuel Motorcycle riders Larry McBride, Dave Vantine, Mitch Brown, Sam Wills and four others to be announced, as well as a flyover by the Hooligan Flight Team and a $125,000 fireworks display presented by R&R Autobody.
