FALL FLING 500K PRE-RACE Press Release

Bristol, TN – The largest paying and most exciting Fling event ever is set to begin this week at famed Bristol Dragway in Tennessee. The Sparco Fall Fling 500K presented by Optima Batteries is the final Fling race this year after the successful K&N Spring Fling Million in April and the K&N Spring Fling at GALOT Motorsports Park in May. This one will be both different and special, awarding $500,000 to one single winner at Friday’s main event, money which is sure to make a difference in one lucky racer’s life

This is the tenth anniversary of the Fling held in Bristol and as such, co-promoters Peter Biondo and Kyle Seipel wished to make the Bristol event a special one for those attending.

“Because 2019 will be the tenth anniversary of our brand in Bristol,” Biondo said, “we wanted to do something really special. Kyle and I had been brainstorming back and forth since late 2017. We could have done so many things, but the racers have supported us behind belief and we just wanted to do something very special for our customers. And there was no better time or place to do this than where it all started, Bristol Dragway. This will certainly be huge in our sport, taking it to a whole new level. Five hundred thousand dollars to win and a guaranteed payout!”

So excited by the announcement of this event, a limited field of 385 pre-entries sold out in a manner of less than three minutes back in March of this year, a fact which speaks volumes for the quality of the Fling brand.

The excitement begins on Tuesday with the Race Tech/American Race Cars Dragster Shootout with both the winner and runner-up receiving a brand new dragster. In addition a Test & Tune session will enable all entries to get a start dialing in for the week.

Wednesday begins the first of three $30,000-to-win races; FST Wednesday, Hansen Thursday and JEGS Saturday; with the main $500,000-to-win event scheduled for ATI Friday. Besides the win money, hundreds of thousands of dollars of round money is part of the 100-percent guaranteed purse. In addition, over $60,000 in hardcore product giveaways will be awarded.

A special HOOSIER King of Flings Shootout, open to all who have won a Fling event at any facility in the past ten years, is scheduled for JEGS Friday night with the winner receiving a Special Edition King of Flings Ivey Hutto Custom Golf Cart painted by Brando Paint. Friday night will also host the Impact Racer Appreciation Party for all those in attendance.

Brodix is once again the sponsor of the Best Package Runoff between the best door car package of the first two days and the best dragster package, with the winner receiving a set of Brodix SR20 cylinder heads.

Thanks to JEGS and Mickey Thompson Tires, the entire eliminations event will be streamed live all over the world by MotorMania TV.
