Atomizer Racing Injectors Named Official Sponsor of Mid-West Pro Mod Series

TULSA, OK – The Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) is proud to announce Atomizer Racing Injectors as its official fuel injector sponsor for the 2018 racing season.

“I use Atomizer Racing Injectors on my cars, so I know how good they are,” MWPMS organizer and competitor Keith Haney said. “We couldn’t be happier to welcome Jack and everyone at Atomizer as an official sponsor.

Based in Toano, VA, Atomizer Fuel Systems (dragracinginjectors.com) was founded 10 years ago by Jack French, a 23-year veteran of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) fuel injectors who recognized the need for high-capacity, drag racing fuel injectors.

“I started up this company doing purpose-built racing pieces because there was no good fuel injector option out there for high-flow, high-horsepower engines,” French said. “We were very limited in the booster world in terms of fuel delivery compared to the amount of air you can put in, so the whole performance of these vehicles changed when we started giving them the fuel they need.

‘Daddy Dave’ Joins Keith Haney Racing for MWPMS Season Opener

TULSA, OK – Vowing to “drive his car better than he does,” veteran street racer “Daddy Dave” Comstock has agreed to step into Keith Haney’s 2017 championship-winning Radials vs. the World (RvW) ride Mar. 2-3, for the season-opening Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) event at the Texas Motorplex, near Dallas.

“Keith knows I can drive and I’m real competitive and more than ready to push things right to the edge,” stated Comstock, a regular on the Discovery Channel’s runaway hit Street Outlaws TV show. “I’m going to drive it like it’s my own and I’ve been known to grenade stuff before in order to win, so …,” his voice trailed off. “No sense in leaving anything on the table.”

Haney said he expects nothing less. “Dave is an aggressive driver, a good driver, exactly the kind of guy I want in there. It’s a proven car, a race winner and a championship winner, so he better do at least as well as I did,” he countered with a laugh.

Tucci to Announce, Crossnoe to Prep MWPMS Season Opener in Texas

TULSA, OK – In a great show of faith for the Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS), Texas Motorplex General Manager Andy Carter has hired famed public-address announcer Al Tucci to call the action Mar. 2-3, at the Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet North vs. South Frankenstein Pro Mod Shootout. Additionally, renowned track prep specialist Tyler Crossnoe will be on-site throughout pre-race testing, qualifying and elimination rounds for the first MWPMS event ever to be held at the state-of-the-art facility near Dallas.

“Andy (Carter) has really stepped up. The addition of Al Tucci takes things to a whole new level,” declared MWPMS organizer and promoter Keith Haney, who also competes in the series. “There’s simply no one else out there with Al’s knowledge of the racers, their histories, their families, and their sponsors. There’s also no one quite like him once he gets going. He knows how to take care of marketing partners like no one else and brings a whole new level of excitement and enthusiasm to his work.

“And bringing in Tyler Crossnoe to prep the track again demonstrates the commitment of the Texas Motorplex to the Mid-West Pro Mod Series, especially to our drag radial racers,” Haney continued. “Tyler is young, but very experienced. He’s already known as the absolute best at making a track hook up for both slick and radial-equipped cars. With his help it’s going to be one badass show where we may just see records set and bars raised.”

Mid-West Pro Mod Series to Open 2018 Season at Texas Motorplex

TULSA, OK – Following an impressive display of cooperation between track operators and promoters, the Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) has officially moved its Mar. 2-3, 2018 season opener to the Texas Motorplex, at Ennis, TX, just south of Dallas. The MWPMS was originally scheduled to open the brand-new Xtreme Raceway Park (XRP) in nearby Trumbull, but ongoing construction prompted XRP owner Clyde Scott and facility manager Gaylen Smith to reach out to Motorplex General Manager Andy Carter with the suggestion for a change of venue.

“We’re probably more than 80 percent done, and really, I think we will be ready by March, but this is Texas and you never know what the weather might bring so we just thought it would be safer and smarter to call Andy and see if he could take over the race for us,” Smith explained. “I’ve known Andy a long time and we’ve always had a good relationship with everyone over there. They’re NHRA and we’re IHRA, but we were very careful with scheduling this year to make sure we weren’t putting our big races on top of each other and fortunately he had that weekend available and agreed to help us out.”

Waterman Racing Named Official Gear Pump of Mid-West Pro Mod Series

TULSA, OK – The Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) is proud to announce Waterman Racing Components as its official gear pump for the 2018 racing season. Purchased in January 2017 by Aeromotive founder and president Steve Matusek, Waterman maintains facilities in Indianapolis and Charlotte.

“Between Waterman Racing and Aeromotive, we can fuel anything from a Jr. Dragster all the way up to a Top Fuel car, including street performance, marine applications and everything in between,” Matusek stated. “For nitrous, blower and turbocharged Pro Mods, Waterman Racing has been the premier mechanical gear pump manufacturer for years, so we’re going to use that brand to sponsor the Mid-West Pro Mod Series because if it’s not a hundred percent of the class that uses Waterman gear pumps it’s darn near close.”

MWPMS Introduces Exclusive Video Service for 2018 Season

TULSA, OK – The Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) proudly announced today that well-known videographer Jimmy Biggs, with backing from Accufab Inc. and LENCO Racing Transmissions, will attend all scheduled events this year to document MWPMS racers’ progress through pit reports, as well as feature MWPMS sponsors and race track partners in promotional videos.

Biggs was introduced to the rapidly growing series at its season finale last fall at Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park, co-owned by MWPMS promoter and competitor Keith Haney and Todd Martin, who also races in the all-eighth-mile series.

“Everything Keith does, he does first class and the Mid-West Pro Mod Series is no different. My first time seeing it in action I was really impressed with how well it was run, how much the fans and the racers seemed to enjoy everything and just how much potential I think it has for the future,” Biggs said. “I just want to do what I can to help Keith grow this into one of the biggest series in the country—not that he needs my help—but if shooting my videos can help in any way I’m looking forward to doing my best.”

M&M Transmission Returns as Official Sponsor of Mid-West Pro Mod Series

TULSA, OK – Company owner Mark Micke is pleased to announce M&M Transmission is returning this year in an even larger capacity as an official backer of the Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS).

“Sponsoring the Mid-West Pro Mod Series has been really good for us, especially with its focus on the Midwest since we’re based in Jefferson City, Missouri, which makes most of the races reasonably close to home. We have a lot of customers who race in the series, too,” said Micke, who campaigns his own twin-turbocharged ’78 Chevy Malibu in the MWPMS Radial vs. the World (RvW) class.

In fact, Micke finished a close second in last year’s RvW points chase to series promoter Keith Haney, who with Todd Martin, also co-owns Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park. “Keith has been a customer of ours for four or five years and we’ve been a sponsor at his track it seems like forever, so backing the series, it just makes sense; it fits us perfectly,” Micke added.

Mid-West Pro Mod Series Releases 2018 Event Schedule

TULSA, OK – Fresh off its inaugural, five-event season, the Tulsa-based Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) announced an expanded seven-race schedule for next year, with a tentative eighth event still in the works. Additionally, a sister organization, the Mid-West Outlaw Radial Series (MWORS), was created to race alongside the MWPMS, with a standalone Drag Radial event scheduled for March in Tulsa.

“What we’ve done is work together with the race tracks and promoters to create a points series for the Drag Radial guys. Instead of them just going from race to race, hoping to win or maybe finish runner-up, we wanted to give them the incentive to compete for a season championship,” Mid-West Pro Mod Series organizer Keith Haney explained.

The Mid-West Outlaw Radial Series has been established for 2018 to provide a season-long points chase alongside the Mid-West Pro Mod Series.
