TOP DRAGSTER AND TOP SPORTMSAN CLASSES ADDED TO RUN ORDER AT ALL LUCAS OIL DIVISIONAL EVENTS IN NHRA DIVISION 4

DALLAS, TX – Addressing concerns of many racers who don’t see enough time in Elimination rounds, the track operators at the South Central Division 4 Track Operator’s Meeting voted to add a new class to all South Central Division Lucas Oil Divisional Events in 2015.

The new class will be a Non Qualifier Combo for Top Dragster and Top Sportsman. Anyone who doesn’t make the 32-car field for Top Dragster and Top Sportsman will now be entered into the Non-Qualifier Combo class. The class purse will be based on participation and will be a combination of non-qualifiers for both Top Dragster and Top Sportsman.

“This helps ensure racers will be entered into a Round 1 elimination even if they don’t make the 32-car fields for Top Dragster and Top Sportsman,” NHRA Division 4 Director Trey Capps said. “Now racers don’t have a reason to miss an event. It’s great because this was a concern brought up by racers and the track operators voted to fill the need immediately. It’s going to make for even more excitement during each of the Lucas Oil Divisional events.”

The 2015 Lucas Oil Divisional events in Division 4 are:

Texas Motorplex April 16-19
No Problem Raceway May 29-31
Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park June 12-14
Thunder Road Raceway Park September 18-20
Thunder Valley Raceway Park October 15-18
