Larsen Motorsports Kicks Off Pre-Season at PRO Winter Warm-up

Melbourne, FL – Palm Beach International Raceway hosts the fourth annual PRO Winter Warm-up (#PROwarmup) Larson Motorsports - 2015on Jan. 16-17. Larsen Motorsports Jet Dragster teams will be in attendance along with top names in professional drag racing as they test under the lights amid great anticipation for the 2015 race season.

“This event brings out an impressive group of drag racing’s elite. The Larsen Motorsports five teams will take this time to dial in our jet cars, drivers and introduce our partners for our upcoming season with the IHRA Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series,” said Chris Larsen, Team Principle and Co-owner.

Nitro Jam Drag Racing fans will be thrilled to have back returning LMS drivers Kat Moller, Marisha Falk, Allison West and Elaine Larsen.

Kat Moller, a 20-year-old mechanical engineering student, is looking forward to her second season. Moller, who has been drag racing since she was a child, saw success in her 2014 rookie jet dragster season with her first win, in Cordova, Illinois. Moller will be driving the Matrix System Automotive Paint jet dragster.

Larsen Motorsports: Shea Holbrook to Pilot Florida Tech Jet Dragster

Melbourne, FL – Shea Holbrook, a Florida native and seven-year motorsport participant, will pilot the Florida Shea HolbrockInstitute of Technology jet dragster in the 2015 Nitro Jam Drag Racing season, Larsen Motorsports announced today.

Larsen Motorsports, a multi-team national professional racing organization specializing in turbine powered high performance vehicles, and Florida Tech announced their affiliation late last year.

“The opportunity to collaborate with Florida Tech in areas of research and education is incredibly empowering,” said Elaine Larsen, co-owner of Larsen Motorsports. She said Holbrook, 24, will represent Florida Tech in a unique way in the motorsports industry and to students seeking to further their education,

Holbrook concurred. “I’m proud to represent Florida Tech and have an influence both on and off the race track that will further the objectives of the university and strengthen my opportunities to be a liaison between future students and Florida Tech.”

Young Dynamic Duo Takes on Nitro Jam 2015

Daytona Beach, FL – The Florida based jet racing teams of Larsen Motorsports announced today that this young duo will take on Nitro Jam In own Andrew Larsen (18) as crew chief wrenching for driver Katarina Moller2015.  The Matrix Automotive Paint Jet Racing Team entry will be led by Larsen Motorsports own Andrew Larsen (18) as crew chief wrenching for driver Katarina Moller (20) on the Matrix Systems Jet Dragster.

Andrew Larsen, son of team owners Chris and Elaine Larsen, grew up with drag racing. At six weeks old he was at the drag strip watching his mom race the family’s injected, alcohol, big block Chevy powered Super Pro car. By age seven Andrew was helping in the shop disassembling jet engines. Finally in 2014, he led his mom and team boss, Elaine Larsen, to an IHRA World Championship as her crew chief of the Miller Welding Jet Dragster.

“I said it before and I will say it again,  I believe consistency wins championships” said Andrew Larsen. “If you watch the best teams of all time consistency is how they got there. With my new driver Kat, we plan to consistently show what a leading force a pair of kids that grew up at the racetrack can be. We are both young, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been paying attention. The Matrix Systems car is one of the quickest and fastest cars in our company’s fleet. It set low elapsed time twice in 2014 and Kat is a great race car driver. We have a real chance to win.”

Racing Organization Will Relocate to University Facility in Palm Bay, Fla.

Daytona, FL – Larsen Motorsports (LMS) announced today it has joined forces with Florida Institute of Technology to create a powerful Larson Motorsportsassociation that will further the goals and enhance the opportunities of the company and the university.

“We have had our eye on Florida Tech for some time now,” said Elaine Larsen, who co-founded Larsen Motorsports with her husband Chris and is one of its leading race car drivers. “The university is a first-tier, private research institution that is experiencing rapid growth in a number of areas of LMS interest. Our partnership will allow us both to collaborate in areas of research and education in ways unique to education and the motorsports industry.”

Larsen Motorsports Fiery Female Debut for 2015

Daytona Beach, FL – The Florida based jet racing teams of Larsen Motorsports announced today they will debut their first ever all female jet racing team. In 2015 the Miller Welding Jet Racing team will be led by Larsen Motorsport’s own Paige Sanchez as crew chief wrenching for driver and company Co-owner Elaine Larsen on the Miller Welding Jet Dragster.

Sanchez began her role at Larsen Motorsports as a Final Assembly Specialist student intern. In early 2014, she led the design and engineering of the company’s turbine engine test cell tie-down pad used for engine testing and bio-fuel research & development. Finally in 2014, she traveled with the team co-hosting the all new Jet Technology Center helping fans across North America understand what it takes to design, engineer, build, and operate a professional jet racing team.

Elaine Larsen Wins IHRA’s World Champion in her Miller Welding Jet Dragster

Daytona Beach, FL – Elaine Larsen, driver in the IHRA’s Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series, was crowned World Champion at the IHRA Summit Elaine LarsonWorld Finals at Memphis International Raceway in her Miller Welding jet-powered drag car.

“I just can’t believe we did it! The Miller Welding Larsen Motorsports jet dragster team proved strong all season long and with the support from our fans and the series we came out on top,” said Elaine Larsen.

“Consistency won this championship,” said Crew Chief Andrew Larsen. “Luck will give you good or bad races, but consistency wins championships. Our strategy was simple, don’t change the car unless it was really throwing us a curveball.”

Larsen Motorsports to separate from Embry Riddle

Daytona Florida based jet racing teams of Larsen Motorsports announced today they have notified sponsor Embry Riddle Aeronautical Larson_TeamUniversity they will terminate their agreements at the conclusion of the 2014 racing season following the Orlando Night of Fire on November 15, 2014. Both parties have agreed they will end their relationship.

Larsen Motorsports relocated their business to Daytona Beach in 2011 to work with Embry Riddle Aeronautical University students interested in careers related to the high performance vehicle racing industry. Since the move hundreds of students have interned and volunteered at the Larsen facility. Working with the next generation of motorsports professionals has been a great experience.

Put Yourself in the Driver Seat

Florida based Larsen Motorsports announced new driver positions for their jet racing teams today to be added in the near future.

Larson Motorsports“We are exploring opportunities to grow our existing teams as well as add new teams. New drivers of those teams will be a critical element of that expansion.” says Elaine Larsen, co-owner of Larsen Motorsports and driver of the Miller Welding jet dragster.

Larsen Motorsports is accepting resumes of prospective drivers and will make a decision as to who the finalists are that will compete for the coveted positions.

Chris Larsen, co-owner of Larsen Motorsports, said, “We are going to continue to require the driver to have some skin in the game. We get multiple inquiries every week about driving for one of our teams. We will select the driver that can contribute to the day-to-day operations of our business.”

Larsen Motorsports team names 5th female driver!!!

Daytona Beach based Larsen Motorsports is proud to announce today that they have continued to expand their already impressive Allison Westlineup of drivers to include their very own Allison West.  She will be joining the all-women drivers teams of Elaine Larsen who drives for the Miller Welding Company, Marisha Falk,, driver for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Dawn Perdue, driver for Sport Aviation and Kat Moller, driver for Matrix Systems Automotive Finishes.

20 year old Allison has worked with LMS for over a year on their Bio Fuels initiative, final assembly as well as on their chassis fabrication. Chris Larsen says, “Allison’s technical ability and hands on skills will make her valuable not only on the track, but in the shop as well!”

Daytona Beach, FL – Larsen Motorsports and Phillip Marks Motorcars, a muscle and sports car company, announced today a phillp Markpartnership with the Larsen Motorsports Jet Racing Teams.

Phillip is a car enthusiast and boasts a personal collection of over 80 cars. He is involved with racing on many levels in addition to his large personal collection.
