Rod Pearce Sets Three Records in Sacramento
Sacramento, CA Rod Pearce, a lone nitrous contender in an all blown field, set three new track records this past weekend in Sacramento, September 19th 2009. Pearce and crew attended the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Association’s (WCOPMA) 40th Annual Governors Cup event with plans of simply testing their new Sonny’s 5.3 Bore Space 864 Wedge Engine. Conditions were tough in Sacramento with track temperatures reaching a sizzling 140 degrees. Pearce managed to qualify his 63 Nitrous Corvette in the 7th position with a promising 6.35 @ 228 mph on the first full run with his new Sonny’s engine. Competition was fierce with one of the quickest fields to compete at a WCOPMA event with 15 blown entries and Pearce standing as the lone wolf of nitrous. Continue reading

Hagestown, MD The “Appalachia on Steroids” braintrust received a phone call about the ADRL Dragstock race at Rockingham a week before it was to be held. The person on the other end wanted to know why we were not going to attend the largest ADRL race of the year. We had to tell them the truth—POVERTY had inevitably entered into the equation! That being said our new fairy Godfather agreed to put up some money to help us attend the race. Continue reading

Additionally, traction control will remain an option for those teams that wish to use it in every professional category with the exception of Extreme Pro Stock, which retains the rules that mandate a minimum weight (2,425 lbs w/driver) and specify the use of traction control is not allowed. AL-ANABI RACING READY TO ROCK IN ROCKINGHAM
(9-11-2009) ROCKINGHAM, North Carolina – Considered the most prestigious stop on the National Guard ADRL tour, this weekend’s Flowmaster Dragstock VI at Rockingham Dragway promises to be the biggest, quickest and fastest event in the storied history of the ADRL’s five-year history. Throughout the 2009 season, there have been a number of performance marks set in the organization’s five professional categories, and at the forefront of those record setting efforts have been the Pro Nitrous superpower of Al-Anabi Racing. Doing Some Good in the Neighborhood
(September 9, 2009) It seems as though Glenn and Christy and their dragster never rest. The division 7 racers are on a quest to bring smiles and help to some local non-profit organizations. The first event was the “Surfest ’09” for the American Legion Post #291 on Balboa Island, California. It was a car show/chili cook-off that benefited the post. “The response was overwhelming” Christy said. “Especially, when we fired it up for everyone” Glenn added. (76)
The 2nd event they attended was the “Waves 4 Wheels” Chili cook-off and Car show for the Elks Club in Huntington Beach. There were lots of beautiful cars and great chili too! “Thank goodness I brought my Rolaids” Christy said. “There were approximately 15 chili competitors and she tried about 5 different kinds.” Glenn stated (55)
The 3rd show was back at the American Legion Post #291. It was called “Provide a Ride”. This show was unique in that it brought the visually impaired together with bikers and allowed them to go on a short ride on Harley’s, and Honda’s, or whatever bike was available. “It was an awesome experience” said one of the riders to Christy. Approximately 120 bikers showed up and 25 visually impaired riders, not bad for the 1st annual event at the Post. (81)

For this team the status quo is not an option. Continue reading
