Sacramento, Ca The Don Carter Motorsports team, with Bret Williamson driving the ’53 Studebaker, wrapped up the 2010 West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Associations (WCOPMA) points championship with their win last weekend at Bandimere Speedway during the Super Chevy Show event, an event the WCOPMA was booked in to headline for Bandimere Speedway.

Going into the Denver event, all that was needed for the team was for Williamson to qualify anywhere in the 8-car field and the championship was theirs…but like the team has done all season long they were set to run hard and not take it “easy” with a main goal to make it to yet another final round and win another event this 2010 season.

Diedrich – the new Pro Mod MPH record holder for Bandimere Speedway

Courtesy of  Firebaugh Express

Morrison, CO – Jay Diedrich left his mark in Morrison, Colorado at Bandimere Speedway with a huge 237.09 speed in the final qualifying session Saturday night for the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Association while headlining at a Super Chevy Show event. The speed isn’t very fast compared to his quickest ever 249 MPH shot earlier this year at Sacramento, but considering it was made at “the mile high raceway” with a corrected elevation of 8,800 feet it starts to pack more of a punch.

In testing on Friday Diedrich was making laps of high 6.20’s to low 6.30’s at over 230 MPH all day. On Saturday’s first qualifying session, the “Evil Outlaw” 1957 Chevy broke the blower belt as soon as the clutch pedal was released which would make Jay have to wait for the second session to come around to secure a spot in the 8-car qualified field.

Clifford “The Big Red Dog Drama” On The Road

By Camp Stanley

Hagerstown, MD – I’m an old trucking guy from way back, just like my friend Roger Henson, although with a whole lot less money! For the most part I enjoy the peace and solitude of the open road and as John and Tracy like to tell me, it is where I dream up all kinds of things.

And I must admit I do come up with some doozies! Some of them are really great reminders of things we may need to change. And some of them may perhaps be a better way of putting something where it is easier found. My do to lists after after a long trip such as a Dallas or Houston can sometimes be what appears to be an entire trash can of sticky notes!

And then there are the times where I wish I was the one riding in an airplane! The return trip from St Louis was one of those times. As I was motoring along the highway of life on Sunday morning I noticed a strange smell like brakes
