NHRA NEW ENGLAND NATIONALS FRIDAY QUALIFYING REPORT: LANGDON, DEJORIA, ANDERSON LEAD THEIR FIELDS AT NEW ENGLAND DRAGWAY
EPPING, NH — Friday’s qualifying session at the NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto painted a picture of familiar excellence at New England Dragway, with three standout performances laying claim to provisional No. 1 qualifying positions heading into Saturday’s final qualifying rounds.
In Top Fuel, points leader Shawn Langdon piloted the Kalitta Air dragster to a 3.709-second pass at 334.98 mph to take the provisional top spot. The run is characteristic of the kind of dominating effort Langdon has strung together throughout the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, and if his position holds through Saturday’s sessions, it would mark his fourth No. 1 qualifier of the year.
Funny Car’s provisional pole belongs to Alexis DeJoria, who steered the Bandero Café Chevrolet Camaro SS to a 3.929-second run at 312.42 mph. DeJoria has been a consistent presence near the front of the Funny Car field this season, and a No. 1 qualifier at New England Dragway would be her first of the 2026 campaign.
Six-time Pro Stock champion Greg Anderson continued his strong 2026 showing by leading the Pro Stock field on the strength of a 6.508-second pass at 210.67 mph in the HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro. Should the time stand, it would give Anderson his fifth No. 1 qualifier of the season — a remarkable benchmark that further underscores his continued mastery of the class.
Qualifying continues Saturday at New England Dragway before eliminations get underway Sunday at the NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto, Race 8 of the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.
