Janis’ Aeroquip Team Doing It Dirty Mo Style Before Dragstock VI

Elma, NY (September 9, 2009) – With Pro Extreme new comer Mike Janis seemingly having a secure spot in the top eight in ADRL’s Speedtech Battle for the Belts, one would think the veteran racer from New York would be content to head into the last points race of the year with everything status quo.

For this team the status quo is not an option.

Prior to the Flowmaster Dragstock VI in Rockingham, NC this coming weekend Mike Janis’s Aeroquip® team is headed to Mooresville, NC for some testing at “The Dirty Mo”.

Crew Chief Mike Janis Jr. feels now is the time for this team to unleash its Monster Power.

“We need to get a good hold of our tune up,” said crew chief Mike Jr. ”All season long we’ve been babying this thing just to make sure she gets down the track. To be honest we even have our blower backed down compared to what the other teams are running. This thing has a ton of untapped power that we need to figure out how to use. There is too much at stake in these next two races and for us not to test would be foolish.”

Heading into Rockingham (the last race to earn points for the series championship) Janis is fourth in points, less than one round behind third place Josh Hernandez. Janis would like to move up the Battle for the Belts ladder at this event but feels that if the team performs to it’s potential the points will take care of themselves.

“If we can work out a few things in Mooresville I know we’ll have as good a shot at this year’s title as any team out there. We need to concentrate on using all the power we have on tap and use it consistently. If we can learn that in testing I know things will be in our favor when we leave Rockingham,” said team owner/driver, Mike Janis.

Janis and his Aeroquip Team will have a full contingent of supporters at the September 11-12 Flowmaster Dragstock VI in Rockingham, NC, with thousands of Eaton employees scheduled to be on hand to support Janis’ Aeroquip® Performance Products backed machine.

Aeroquip® Performance Products are a subdivision of Eaton’s Aeroquip® Hydraulics Division.  Aeroquip® Performance Products are designed to provide the superior flow, appearance, weight advantage, and flexibility required in all forms of motorsports and that’s why Aeroquip® Performance Products are the number one choice of Mike Janis Racing and performance enthusiasts around the world.
