Go Lithium Brings Power to Buddy Hull Racing

DALLAS – Beginning this weekend at the NHRA Arizona Nationals Buddy Hull Racing will be partnering with Minnesota-based Go Lithium to provide the team with custom designed 48-volt battery packs for their 12,000-horsepower Moonshine Methanol Top Fuel dragster. This first of its kind product from Go Lithium will feature four 12-volt batteries wired to create the 48-volts needed to power the starter in a custom design billet case.

“I am so excited to show off this Go Lithium battery starter,” said Buddy Hull, who will be making his 2023 debut this weekend at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. “There are two things I love about racing, the technical innovations and looking cool. These battery packs combine both of those elements and I think Go Lithium will get a lot of customers once people see how sharp this custom starter looks and how well it works. This is Go Lithium’s first foray into the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, but the company has been providing batteries to Super Stock racer Justin Lamb, 5-time NHRA Lucas Oil Series champion, as well as late model racer Scott Bloomquist, X275 Racer JD Campbell and a variety of World of Outlaws teams. Go Lithium batteries are handmade in the USA and purpose built for racing. A nationwide network of dealers provides a wide range of battery products to racers and consumers at every level of motorsports.

The custom designed battery packs will be housed in billets designed by Pro Stock world champion Jason Line in conjunction with Go Lithium. Johnson was excited to be taking an existing product and modifying it for a new use. The small batch product will be completely customizable to match the look and design of any NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series team.

Fans and teams will get their first look at the Buddy Hull Racing Go Lithium battery starter on Friday night during the first round of qualifying for the NHRA Arizona Nationals at Wild Horse Motorsports Park. Two more qualifying rounds will be contested on Saturday, March 25 with the 16 quickest Top Fuel dragsters competing on Sunday before a packed hour and FS1 television audience.
