MIKEY STURGILL WINS MOER ENGINEERING $25,000 SUNDAY FINALE TO CLOSE INAUGURAL LARIS MOTORSPORTS INSURANCE 75K AT DARANA RACEWAY
HEBRON, OH — Mikey Sturgill of Beaver Creek, Ohio claimed the Moer Engineering $25,000 Sunday feature to close out the inaugural Laris Motorsports Insurance 75K Presented by Vintage Trailers at Darana Raceway in Hebron, Ohio, defeating fellow Beaver Creek native Caleb Ellison in an all-Ohio final round that capped four days of bracket racing action produced by TB Promotions.
Sturgill and Ellison met three times on Sunday, splitting the first two encounters before Sturgill sealed the rubber match in the final round. Running a 5.72 on his 5.73 dial-in, Sturgill took the win light over Ellison’s breakout effort to claim the $25,000 top prize. It was Sturgill’s first final round appearance at an event paying more than $10,000.
“It’s my first final for over 10 grand,” said Sturgill. “I’ve always said I wanted to get my next big check for more than 10 grand, so it’s just awesome to have this opportunity.”

ZACK FULCHER AND LUCAS SOWERS CLAIM VICTORIES AT UNITED GARAGE DOOR COMPANY SATURDAY 75K
HEBRON, OH – Zack Fulcher and Lucas Sowers emerged as champions Saturday night at the inaugural United Garage Door Company Saturday 75K, part of the Laris Motorsports Insurance 75K presented by Vintage Trailers at Darana Raceway in Hebron, Ohio.
In the featured $75,000 bracket final, Fulcher left first with a .020 advantage over Russell Sparks and never looked back, posting a 486 dial-in run to claim the top prize. Sparks, who had made a strategy adjustment to high-gear-only runs late in the event due to traction issues, dialed 495 in the final but was unable to match Fulcher’s reaction time or reach his number. Fulcher, who campaigns under the EDR Motorsports banner with sponsorship support from Mr. Cool and Cargo Mate, noted the new car had just 17 runs on it entering the day — making the victory all the more remarkable.
In the semifinal round, Fulcher defeated Cliff Carr in an all-dragster matchup where both competitors dialed an identical 488. Sparks received a bye into the final after earning the single earlier in the event.

Smith, driving a dragster he won at a previous TB Promotions event, was measured early — going winless in his first three attempts before finding his rhythm and never looking back. In the final, Smith left on a .009 reaction time and coasted to a 4.67 to secure the win as Jordan’s front wheels came up and the tree went red.

TB Promotions Twin 50s Off to a Fast Start at World Wide Technology Raceway
MADISON, IL — Cory Galiti of Spring, Texas made the most laps and the best laps when it counted Thursday evening at World Wide Technology Raceway, driving his dragster to victory in the Ezell Race Cars and Regals Performance Fiberglass and Composites Warm-Up Thursday, part of the Larice Motorsports Insurance Twin 50s presented by Vintage Trailers.
Galiti, who carries car number 420 on his dragster, survived a long day of bracket racing — including carrying two entries deep into the field — to reach the final round against Troy Ross and his 621-dialed Nova. With lane choice in hand, Galiti chose the right lane and left Ross no room to work, posting a dead-on 420 pass with a .007 reaction time for a combined 14 total — locking out Ross, who was 10 foul at the tree and 19 behind at the stripe.
The win earned Galiti the top prize: a brand-new Ezell Race Cars roller dragster chassis, valued as part of a $10,000 total package, with runner-up Ross collecting $5,000.
The road to the final was no easy task. In the semifinals, Galiti edged Jaden Lawler in a double-breakout affair, posting a .007 reaction time and running dead on his dial for a 14-total package, while Lawler went eight-take-eight to come up two-thousandths under. Ross punched his ticket to the final by turning on the win light against Dylan Guy, taking a 22-total package to lock out the Gen One Camaro pilot.
