2020 JEGS Performance SFG500 to be contested April 12-18, 2021 at SGMP with Increased Prize Money

CHICAGO, IL – Just over 1 week ago SFG Promotions had to make the difficult decision to postpone the running of the 2020 JEGS SFG500 due to weather produced by hurricane Sally. The decision paid off as the track saw several inches of rain during the week of our scheduled event.

After considering the reschedule options of either the end of October 2020 or April 2021, SFG has decided to contest the event April 12-18, 2021, and believe that this is the best decision for everyone involved in bracket racing. The next month of racing will be taxing on drivers, cars, finances, and vacation time. “SFG has always been on the mission to make life-changing money available to everyone. We feel we can better live up to that by running the event in April opposed to adding on another mega event at the end of October” said Kyle Riley.

The rescheduled JEGS SFG500 will have 2 major changes coming that will make it even more exciting to attend: The popular JEGS Performance $20K warm-up for a $100 entry will now become the JEGS Performance $50K warm-up for only a $175 entry. You read that right – $30K more in payout for $75 more in entry fees! Additionally, all racers who were already entered in the JEGS SFG500 prior to the weather postponement will be able to race in the $50K warm-up for only $100!

AJ Ashe Departs from SFG Promotions Team

Chicago, IL – On the heels of SFG Promotions successfully completing the highest paying drag race in history – Jegs Performance SFG $1.1 Million presented by Allstar Performance – SFG team member AJ Ashe has decided to step away from the promotion business. For the last few months, AJ had been considering this move to allow him to spend more time competing on the big money bracket racing circuit. “With the success of the biggest SFG race to date behind us, AJ felt that now was the right time to make this change. AJ joined the SFG team in 2018 and has been an important part of the success at many of our events in these past two years” said Kyle Riley, CEO of SFG.

SFG Promotions wishes AJ the best of luck as he ventures back into racing where we are confident he will continue to have the success he has enjoyed throughout his career.

While AJ’s departure leaves a gap in the SFG team, our customers should be confident that we have the right people and leadership in place to continue to serve you with the same events and formats that you have come to know and love. Our team has never been more confident in the SFG mission to make life-changing money available to everyone in bracket racing. We strive to exemplify that mission every day and we are proud that our work is continuing to bring the world of big-dollar bracket racing to the highest levels of conversation in the sport. In the coming weeks and months more announcements will be made about groundbreaking actions we are taking to continue to push SFG to the next level but in the meantime, enjoy the rest of our 2020 schedule.

We will see you at our next event, the JEGS SFG Labor Day Bracket Bash at National Trail Raceway on Labor Day weekend (Sept 4-6, 2020)!
