BRITTANY FORCE AND FLAV-R-PAC LOOKING TO BUILD POINTS LEAD AT NHRA FOUR-WIDE NATIONALS AT zMAX DRAGWAY

CONCORD, NC – After racing to back-to-back wins for the first time in her career, Brittany Force with her Flav-R-Pac / Monster Energy team enter this weekend’s Circle K NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway as the points leaders with no signs of letting up.

Force and the Flav-R-Pac team capitalized on their early season consistency at the first four-wide event of the season, the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, with a dominant victory. It was her first win at the spring Vegas race and set her up to enter last weekend’s SpringNationals sitting a measly four points out of the lead. With a close to flawless performance at Houston Raceway Park, Force took the points lead by 32 with her third win at the facility that is set to close this year.

“Heading to Charlotte Four-Wide this weekend on such a high after back-to-back wins in Las Vegas and Houston. Our Flav-R-Pac / Monster Energy team is ahead of ourselves compared to our 2021 season, when we had only one win halfway through the season in Topeka. We already have two wins under our belt and are only five races in,” Force said. “That sets the tone for a strong season. We are in a good position and currently in the points lead. Our team has had success at Four-Wide races and we’re looking to make it three in a row this weekend.”

Force became the first woman to win a four-wide title in 2016 when she beat Antron Brown, Doug Kalitta and Clay Millican at zMAX after qualifying third. She has only one victory overall at zMAX but finishes runner-up at the four-wide last year and twice in the Carolina Nationals, which is part of the year-end Countdown to the Championship (2018 and 2021). She set the current track ET record of 3.662 seconds on May 14, 2021 and equaled it on Sept. 17, 2021 at the fall race. She raised the speed record to 333.49 mph on May 16, 2021. Force is one of three JFR drivers (with Robert Hight and John Force) to have won multiple four-wide events but is the only one of the three to have done so at two different venues. Coming off an emotional win in the Las Vegas Four-Wide last month, she is trying to become just the second Top Fuel driver to win four-wide titles at both Charlotte and Vegas.

Qualifying at the Circle K NHRA Four-Wide Nationals begins Friday with sessions at 4:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. ET and continues Saturday with additional sessions at 1:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Eliminations are slated to begin Sunday at noon. For television coverage, tune into FOX Sports 1 (FS1) at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, 11 a.m. ET on Sunday and, for eliminations, Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.
