The pristine South Georgia Motorsports Park slowly filled up through the course of Thursday. My first encounter of the weekend was the exuberant young Tyler Allen. He was so excited about the Georgia event that he had his barber carve the ADRL logo into the back of his hair.

Friday’s qualifying runs concluded with Tyler holding the #1 spot and

Ty Tutterow a close second in what turned out to be the final input for Saturday’s ladders.

Between the rain delay and a tragic pit accident, race officials made the difficult (but obvious) call to forego Saturday’s 4th qualifying runs, so Friday’s qualifying set the standard for the ladders.

The first matchup in the first round saw Jordan Arnold of St Johns, FL take on an anxious Austin Carden of McDonough, GA in his signature Signal Orange Mohawk adorned  helmet. Austin turned on the red eye and Jordan accepted the pass to round two.

Despite KJ Knowling’s slightly better light, Brandon Pottorff  of Timberlake, NC took the win by about 1/1000th of a second!

Superman, Timmy Clifton ,Jr. left the beautiful Jessica Arnold of St Johns, FL, at the tree and soared into the second round

Kendall Thiesse of Montreal, MO had a stellar light against veteran Minute Man Champion Morgan Benfield but broke out by over 2/10ths allowing the Morganator to progress to round 2.

Returning T-Berry, Tia Tutterow of Lewisville, NC eaked out a win over Patrick Weatherford, of Danville VA, by  a narrow 0.033 seconds.

Meanwhile, brother Taylor Weatherford took a marginal victory over #3 qualifier Charlie Smith of McDonough, GA despite Charlie’s quicker reaction time.

Local born Will Weeks of Sparks, GA made a valiant effort against “Ty-Rod” Ty Tutterow in the face of multiple start-line difficulties, but Ty was on his game and took the win running smack on his dial!

Race Girl, Jordan Sachs of Florida proceeded to Round 2 when #1 qualifier young Tyler Allen broke out.

Brandon Pottorff  and Ty Tutterow BOTH broke out, but since Brandon broke out the least he was able to advance.

Jordan Arnold earned her spot in the semis against Race Girl’s Jordan Sachs in a double-Jordan break out

And  Timmy Clifton, Jr. bought his ticket to the Semis at the tree against Taylor Weatherford

Jordan Arnold soared into the Finals when Morgan Benfield broke out by a sickening 13/1000ths of a second .

Despite a great run by Brandon Pottorff, Timmy Clifton, Jr. had a super light resulting in a tooth-and-nail battle to the finish in this near heads up competition. Timmy will meet Jordan in this Georgia ADRL Final.

Jordan Arnold seriously brought the kryptonite against Superman, Timmy Clifton, Jr. when she logged an a-MAZ-ing .000 reaction time and ran .001 off her dial.
