Twin Lakes Whitetails Embraces Unique Opportunity with Mid-West Pro Mod Series

TULSA, OK – Just days before this weekend’s start of the Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) season, Twin Lakes Whitetails signed on as an official sponsor of the all-eighth-mile drag racing organization. MWPMS owner, promoter and competitor Keith Haney said he’s very happy and proud to welcome a non-automotive sponsor to the mix.

Based in Bismarck, MO, Twin Lakes Whitetails is a world-class hunting complex covering more than 1,700 acres of rolling woodlands in the foothills of the Ozarks that also includes a pair of 20-acre stocked bass fishing lakes. Twin Lakes ranks among the top-10 breeders worldwide of whitetail deer and backs each hunt with a 100-percent “No Game, No Pay” guarantee.

“It’s a credit to Twin Lakes Whitetails that they recognize the value of marketing to Mid-West Pro Mod Series racers and fans even when they’re not offering a traditional motorsports product,” Haney said. “I couldn’t be any happier about them joining us; I think this is a very important development for our series.”

Twin Lakes owner Randy Merick said that after watching the development of the MWPMS last year he was most impressed by the effort put forth by Haney and his staff.

“I like how they’re actually promoting their races, where everybody else just wants to put on a race and hope everybody shows up. There’s very few people promoting like the Mid-West Pro Mod guys do and I believe that they’re going to get a lot of attention. Actually, they already are getting a lot of attention, but I think it’s going to grow into something even bigger and better,” Merick said. “And deer hunters like to go to drag races and drag racers like to go deer hunting, so if I get their attention there, hopefully I get to book some hunts.”

A veteran drag racer himself, Merick also confirmed plans to compete with the MWPMS this year, too.

“Right now I have a Pro Mod (Corvette) with a full-blown Top Fuel motor in it and I ran that car at the Mid-West Tulsa race last year. But now I have another project going on that I really don’t want to talk too much about yet,” Merick revealed. “We’ll have it out at the Mid-West Pro Mod race at Bowling Green (Kentucky, Apr. 20-21) and for the rest of the season after that.”

The 2018 Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Mid-West Pro Mod Series season consists of nine events and opens Mar. 2-3, at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX, south of Dallas.
