Norwalk, OH– Friday, September 10th was the last event of the 2010 Friday Night Chaos series at Norwalk, Ohio’s Summit Motorsports Park and Todd Robertson closed his “BREAK OUT” season with another trip to the Winner’s Circle; the third this season.

Summit Motorsports Park’s Friday Night Chaos Series Door Wars was completely dominated in 2010 by Pro Power Motorsports’ Todd Robertson. In five races Robertson took home three wins, one runner-up, three number one qualifiers, ran the first three second pass Door Wars history, and firmly cemented his name into the famed Norwalk race track’s history.

After qualifying his supercharged Chevy Cobalt second with a 4.109 elapsed time Robertson turned up the heat during eliminations and set both low elapsed time (4.010) and top speed (187.55) of the meet on route to his fourth final round appearance of 2010.

In round one Robertson faced off with Alliance, Ohio’s Dale Pittman. Pittman, who qualified 7th at the wheel of his 63 Corvette, was first off the line but ran into problems early in the run while Robertson went straight down Broadway posting a 4.042 elapsed time to take the win and move onto a second round match up with Jim Bersani of Cicero, NY. Bersani tried the “psychic approach” on the Christmas tree and posted a .007 reaction time but, Bersani’s twin turbo powered 57 Chevy proved to be no match for Robertson’s blown Hemi. Robertson took the win light with a 4.468 elapsed time, low for the round, giving Robertson lane choice in the finals over number one qualifier Scott Braskett of Scott Braskett Race Cars. Braskett, from Galena, Ohio, made his way to the finals by defeating Tony Raffin and John Vergotz. Braskett left first but ran into trouble and Robertson went on to win his 3rd final of the year with a 4.010 at 180.16 mph.

“Closing out with a win tonight is just so cool,” said Robertson. “There’ve been years when you leave a track for the last time that season and say “there’s always next year” but, this year I can relish my time here this season as one of the best in my career.”

“There have been a ton of people who’ve made this year here at Norwalk special for me; my wife and family lead the list but I couldn’t do any of this without my crew and my sponsors;  I can’t thank them enough.”

Next up for Robertson and his Pro Power Motorsports Team will be trip to Milan Dragway on October 2nd for the final Aeroquip Performance Parts Heads Up event of 2010. Robertson sits just 10 points behind points leader Bill Rowe in the Napa Auto Parts Run What Ya Brung Class.
