The World’s Fastest Fords take over National Trail Raceway!

National Trail Raceway, just outside of Columbus, Ohio, will light up once again as the stars of the NMRA compete at the Ford SuperNationals the weekend of June 8-11.

With a full lineup of NMRA’s wild classes this race promises to be off the hook as it’s mid-season for the World’s Fastest Fords, and with championship points on the line, racers will be primed to take their shot at glory.

This year there is an added bonus for fans, as racers will be running a complete day of eliminations on Friday, June 9th. Due to poor weather at the recent race at Maple Grove Raceway, all elimination rounds were postponed until the first full day of action at National Trail Raceway. That means this event will actually be sending two different sets of champions to the Aerospace Winner’s Circle – one set on Friday, the other Sunday.

The big news for NMRA racers and fans is the million-dollar facelift, which is well underway at National Trail Raceway as new owners of the facility began major renovations last month. For racers, the 660-foot concrete pad has been ground and groomed and all of the old asphalt on the track has been removed and replaced all the way to the return road. What that means for fans is a smoother and more consistent racing surface, which will allow racers to turn up the wick on their cars, resulting in what should be some incredible runs.

If Ford power is what gets your motor running, the NMRA SuperNationals will have you on the chip. From 2,000 horsepower VP Racing Fuels Street Outlaws, to the screaming ponies in Edelbrock Renegade, this event will satisfy those hungry for a taste of the blue oval.

In addition to racing on the track there will be a lot of activity off the track as well including a fantastic all-Ford car show presented by UPR Products as well as a Manufacturers’ Midway featuring some of the latest performance products for your machine.

Things get cranking in earnest Friday, June 9th at the new National Trail Raceway outside of Columbus, Ohio.
